Canadian R&B and Hip-Hop artist Drake has just earned his 21st chart topping single on the SongsChart..and set a new record in the process.

When Drake’s song with Lil Durk “Laugh Now Cry Later” topped the songs chart, he beat out a record previously held by Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin – who each had 20.

On 12 of those 21 hits, Drake was either a solo artist or in the leading role of a collaboration. In the remaining nine, Drake has paired up with numerous artists including Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, JamieFoxx, and Trey Songz.

Throughout his career, Drake has been breaking chart records; earlier this year, he set a record for the most songs on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart – a chart that features all genres.
