It’s the Final Judgement on “American Idol” when the remaining 40 singers travel to Hawaii to give a showcase performance before half of them are eliminated when the top 20 are revealed.

Returning singer Alyssa Raghu was the first to learn that she has made it into the top 20.

Madison Vandenburg is also in the top 20.

Vietnamese singer Myra Tran failed to make the cut.

Logan Johnson chose to sing part of his showcase performance in Spanish and earned himself a spot in the top 20.

Nate Walker survived a trip to the hospital and a lost voice to make it to the top 40. Nate chose to sing a Commodores song for his Showcase Performance and brought Lionel Richie to his feet. But Nate failed to make it to the top 20.

Dimitrius Graham did get the news he was hoping for and will be a part of the top 20.

Ashley Hess also learned that she is a part of the top 20.

Drake McCain interacted well with the crowd and had fun on stage but failed to make it to the top 20.

Church singer Kai the Singer experienced a lot of things on her journey, but failed to make the top 20.

Laci Kay Booth chose “Georgia on My Mind” for her Showcase Performance and brought the judges to their feet and made it into the top 20.

Nick Townsend did not make the top 20, but Luke and Lionel said that Nick is an inspiration and has saved lives with his story of dealing with losing his brother to suicide.

Clay Page, Kason Lester, and Johanna Jones also got no answers from the judges. But Johanna got her man when her boyfriend proposed during Hollywood Week.

Birmingham native Walker Burroughs felt that his Showcase Performance was his weakest yet but he still earned hi a spot in the top 20.

Ryan Hammond sang his boyfriend’s favourite song for the Showcase Performance – “A Song for You” – and earned himself a spot in the top 20. Ryan was very emotional when they delivered the news.

Kate Barnette and Evelyn Cormier both learned that they will be moving on to the top 20.

Emma Kleinberg fulfilled a dream by singing on the beach in Hawaii with her Showcase Performance but failed to earn a spot in the top 20.

Uche had the judges on their feet dancing with his Showcase Performance of “Play that Funky Music” and had Lionel calling him Mr. Entertainment. After teasing Uche that they were sending him home, Uche learned that he is in the top 20.

Alejandro Aranda brought the judges to their feet after his Showcase Performance and earned himself a spot in the top 20.

Church janitor Jeramiah Lloyd Harmon chose the Fleetwood Mac hit “Landslide” for his Showcase Performance and has earned himself a spot in the top 20.

Shayy chose an Adele song for her Showcase Performance and while the judges said that they love her, she is not a part of the top 20.

Mica Giaconi, Payton Taylor, and Idalis also failed to make the top 20 this season.

Riley Thompson is this season’s youngest contestant has dreamed of singing since she was four years old and has now earned herself a spot in the top 20.

Raquel Trinidad, Shawn Robinson, and Bumbly all earned themselves spots in the top 20; leaving only three remaining spots.

Naive Wade Cota doesn’t like traveling long distances and thought he needed a passport. to go to Hawaii but gave an impressive performance in the Showcase and earned himself a spot in the top 20. When he got the news, Wade asked why. Wade picked up Ryan and spun him around.

Margie Mays and Eddie Island went to see the judges together. Margie did not make it in the top 20 but Eddie did with instructions from the judges to take himself seriously.

Two more singers and only one more spot left…

Laine Hardy and Tyler Mitchell are the final singers to learn their fate but only one of them will go through. It was at this point last season that Laine was eliminated. Tyler did not make it the top 20 but this year the news was different for Laine who is the last person to fill the top 20.

On Monday night the top 20 perform for the judges…and fan votes.
