A group of high school students from Mount St. Mary’s Academy have formed Rumbler Records. And on April 12 the record label held their first talent showcase at the Hard Rock Cafe in Niagara Falls.

The showcase featured six musical acts…and a little something extra – an artist creating a painting on stage as the musicians performed. At the end of the night, the artwork created by artist Christina Tribo was raffled off with the proceeds going to benefit Rumbler Records.

Playing before a packed house, the musicians performed a mix of original songs and cover tunes. After acoustic duo Francesca Harvey and John Ritcher opened the show with “Style”, “Go Back”, “Havana”, “Walk Away”, “Let the Rain”, “Photograph”, and “Benny and the Jets”.

Then came Bella Moulden who brought her keyboard and guitar for a performance of “Stay with Me”, “Riptide”, and noting she was sure there were Bills fans in the house, invited the audience to join in for “Seven Nation Army”.

Then it was time for some rock and roll. First up was the trio Lost Connections who performed “Hypocrite”, “Haiey”, “Caught Up on You”, and “Taking My Time”.

Closing out the night was the all female rock group Lake Paradigm who performed “Feel it Still”, “Smiling in London”, and “Dog Days are Over” before ending the show with their newly recorded original single “You and Me”.

The students of Rumbler Records and the student musicians have showed with their performances that the music will live on for many years to come.
