The Georgia band R.E.M. (Rapid Eye Movement) are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the release of their album “Reveal” with a new edition of the album.
Set for a November 20 release, the expanded “Reveal” album is a deluxe two-CD/Blu-ray that includes the original album plus “The Black Sessions Revealed” – a previously unreleased 17 song performance from Paris in May 2001 – contained inside a 32 page hard bound book. The book features archival photographs and new liner notes.
Included on the Blu-ray are original music videos and the band’s electronic press kit (EPK).
The single “Imitation of Life” is available now on streaming services.
R.E.M. is also releasing “The Black Sessions Revealed” on vinyl for the first time in a two LP package.
R.E.M. fans can find a neon orange vinyl of the album “Reveal” and a neon pink vinyl of “The Black Sessions Revealed” at the band’s webstore.
Instead of a tour for “Revealed”, the band gave a few special performances around the album release including the Paris performance that became “The Black Sessions Revealed”.
