Award winning musical creator Lin-Manuel Miranda has a new musical coming to Broadway as a part of the 2026-27 Broadway season.

Playing at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, the musical “Warriors” by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Eisa Davis will premiere in March of 2027 with an official opening in April.  Jenny Koons and Andy Blankenbuehler will be directing the production with Blankenbuehler creating the choreography.

Based on the film by the same name, “Warriors” tell the story of a New York City gang who gets framed for murdering a gang leader.

Casting and official performance dates will be announced at a later date.

Miranda and Davis spoke on the new musical via statement saying, “with ‘Warriors’ we take a fateful journey through New York City full of heart and grit as our characters fight to survive.  Musicalizing such a vibrant world for the concept album has been a thrill, and now we’re coming out to play on Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne. We can’t wait.”
