During the race at Naval Base Coronado last week, The right front wheel came off of Bubba Wallace’s 23XI number 23 car during the street race; bringing out the caution flag.
As a result of the infraction, Wallace was held for two laps during the race. And on Tuesday, NASCAR suspended tire changer Adam Hartman and jackman Nathan Ricketts for two races – Sonoma and Chicagoland.
According to the NASCAR Rule Book, the 23XI team violated Sections 8.8.10.4.A&D in the NASCAR Rule Book.
Despite being held for two laps, Wallace recovered and finished the race in second place behind race winner Corey Heim.
This weekend the drivers head north to California wine country and Sonoma Raceway in the Napa Valley for the final road course of the season.
And the In-Season Challenge begins at Sonoma.
