A tourist town, Niagara Falls has a variety of things for visitors to do; depending on their preferences.
the biggest and most popular thing is the majestic fall known as the Nigara Falls. There is actually three separate falls – only one of them connects both the United States and Canada. The American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls are separated by a narrow strip of land known as Luna Island.
Goat Island is a small area of land a half mile long and a quarter mile wide that connects the U.S. and Ontario, Canada via the Horseshoe Falls.
The draw millions of visitors from around the world each year.
For visitors who want to get a closer look at the Falls, there is the Maid of the Mist boat ride and the Cave of the Winds where visitors ride an elevator 182 feet down to the level of the river and can walk along the decks where visitors can get as close as eight feet to the Bridal Veil Falls.
Both attractions feel particularly good on a hot day since you will get wet. Ponchos are provided for both attractions; visitors to the Cave of the Winds also get a pair of sandals to ensure footwear that will not slip on the wet decks. Ponchos and sandals can be taken home and kept as memorabilia from the trip or used. For visitors who do not wish to keep their gear, barrels are provided and the sandals get donated top poorer areas around the world.
Just outside Niagara Falls State Park – the oldest state park in the nation – is the Hard Rock Cafe. Good food, beverages, and music is abound inside the Hard Rock. And it is a good place to chill out and cool off on a hot summer day.
And then there is the Seneca Niagara Casino for the gamers. The gaming room floor offers thousands of slot machines, and table games with smoking and non-smoking areas. The casino also offers Kino, poker, and high stakes gambling.
