It is hard to believe that it has been 10 years since His Purpleness has passed on beyond the veil.
In celebration of Prince’s life, “Prince Celebration” is set to take place June 3-7 at Paisley Park and in downtown Minneaspolis.
The “10th Anniversary Celebration of Life” will include performances, panelists, special guests, and a cruise.
Along with tributes to the albums “Parade”, “Emancipation”, “The Rainbow Children”, “Chaos and Disorder”, and “3121”; Bobby Z, Lisa Coleman, Morris Hayes, tony M, Levi Seacer, Sonny T, Cora Coleman, Cassandra O’Neal, Greg Boyer, Kenni Holmen, Chaka Khan, Morris Day, Miguel, Kat Graham, Tevin Campbell, Sounds of Blackness, and Bilal will be taking the stage during the five day event.
More performers are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Cast members from “Purple Rain”, a New Artist Showcase, a big block party, a DJ dance, and events at Paisley Park are also planned.
One of the most expensive events, tickets go on sale to the general public April 22 at $900 for general admission and $1,400 for VIP tickets that include a tour of Paisley Park. This is an 18 and older event.
