Name it and there is more than likely a Hall of Fame of some sort aimed at the item.

NASCAR fans are very familiar with the NASCAR Hall of Fame; but what about the Motorsports Hall of Fame that covers all manner of racing?

On April 17 the Motorsports Hall of Fame announced the 10 newest members to be inducted into the Hall of Fame and among those drivers are two members of the NASCAR community.

One of the sport’s most popular drivers and a legendary engine builder will join the MHOF when Dale Earnhardt Jr and Robert Yates are inducted next year.

The Motorsports Hall of Fame is located at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Junior will join Dad, Dale Earnhardt Sr in the Motorsports Hall of Fame.

Earnhardt and Yates are already members of the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

President of the Motorsports Hall of Fame Daren Lucas spoke on the newest class of Hall of Famers saying, “it’s an honor for the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America to be welcomed each year to make this important announcement at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. We want to thank the Grand Prix Association of Long Beach, IndyCar, IMSA, and so many other top organizations and individuals who make this possible every year. The Class of 2027 is as accomplished as any group of iconic motorsports inductees in our nearly 40-year history, all still revered and admired today, and their legacies and achievements will now be forever memorialized at the Hall of Fame of ALL motorsports. Congratulations to the Class of 2027!”
