I once had an instructor who threatened to tell one of his bad jokes when the class got unruly.
The one I remember is…
One day a giraffe and an elephant were walking along a path and came upon a turtle.

The elephant began kicking, hitting, and in general beating up on the turtle.
The giraffe asked, what did you do that for? That turtle wasn’t bothering you.
The elephant said, yes he did. I remember, five years three months and 28 days ago I was walking on this same path and that turtle bit me on the leg.
The giraffe said, that’s impossible! There’s no way you can remember that.
The elephant said, yes I can; I have turtle recall!
I wish I could be like that elephant and have turtle (total) recall. It sure would save me a lot of time looking things up when I am working on articles.
I must admit that I do cheat a little and ask the co-pilot questions sometimes. But, that is not always reliable. I have caught the AI in a couple of cases. I asked for the name of the current press secretary and it gave me the name of the one before that. But, I guess with the revolving door of government officials, it would be understandable.
Bu, anywho…if I had my own ‘turtle recall’ it would be a great time saver. I admit, there is a lot of stuff packed in up there and sometimes it gets a bit jumbled.
“Turtle recall” and a photographic memory! Wow, what a combination that would be!
It would also help a whole lot when I am trying to work on a piece of music. Maybe, I could spend a little less time on the learning process and more time on the playing process. Normally, I am a pretty patient person, but when it comes to learning how to play a piece of music, I get a bit impatient because I want to learn everything at once. Definitely could use some major “turtle recall” in the music department.
