Rocker Todd Rundgren has announced that he will be leaving his island paradise home and heading for the mainland this summer for some tour dates.
Via social media Rundgren wrote, “I’m happy to announce I will be bringing the Damned If I Do Tour to 23 Cities this summer.”
Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning March 27 at 10am local time.
Speaking on performing during the tour, Rundgren said, “it’s always a challenge for me because my audience is so diverse, I never know what they’re in the mood for. I want to make sure we have all the musical ammunition we need to satisfy the spectrum.”
On touring in general Rundgren notes, “my theory is that you don’t take your foot off the pedal. You keep going, you don’t pump the brakes and just stand on the gas for as long as you can. And, at some point, nature will tell you, okay, it’s time to stop. But that moment hasn’t happened yet!”
He added, “Tony Bennett was my idol, and he never lost a stitch even into his nineties. I just know that for as long as I can, I will probably perform.”
