On March 1 the former SAG-AFTRA Awards (Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists); now simply Actor Awards were presented.  The winners are chosen by their peers – fellow actors, writers, and directors.

This year, the Actor Awards moved away from a traditional television broadcast and aired on the streaming service Netflix.

So far this awards season the big battle for the most statues has been between the vampire film “Sinners” and the action adventure “One Battle After Another”.

This past weekend “Sinners” took the top prize at both the NAACP Image Awards and at the Actor Awards.
