Recently Kid Rock made a post on social media where he condemned members of the media for reporting on the price of his upcoming concerts tickets.

While he does offer some front row seats for $5,000 per ticket ($4,000 for row two, $3,000 for row three, $2,000 for row four, and $1,000 for row five) the number of premium tickets are extremely limited – 20 tickets (four per row) – with a majority of the tickets selling for considerably less including $50 lawn seats.

The artist recently testified to Congress about the price of concert tickets and scalpers with the opening, “I’m here today because I love God, I love this country, I love live music and sports, and I believe music fans and artists have been getting screwed for far too long by the ticketing system.”

He added that the merger of Live Nation and Ticketmaster was an “experiment [that] has failed miserably” and “Independent venues have been crushed. Artists have lost leverage. Fans are paying more than ever – and getting blamed for it”.
