A whopper of a snowstorm hit New York City over the weekend and shut down Broadway for a couple of days, but theater fans took full advantage of the opportunity to see final performances before The Great White Way did indeed turn white!

“Operation Mincemeat” gave its final performances last week and brought in over a million dollars for the highest box office of the run; despite having the final performance cancelled due to the snow storm.

The show began on the West End in London before crossing the pond to Broadway…including the original cast.

The box office receipts were down last week but several of the shows had to cancel their Sunday night performances due to the storm.

Next week’s box office will reflect the cancellation of shows on Monday night after Broadway was closed for a second night over the storm.

As “Operation Mincemeat” closes, the first of the spring show run begins with “Every Brilliant Thing” – a solo show starring Daniel Radcliffe – with it’s first two preview performances.

“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” continues to top the list in the Million Dollar Club and bringing in over $2 million; as did “Hamilton” with 17 of the 28 shows running making the list.
