On day two of the competition, the first American medals were awarded but disaster struck once again for Lindsey Vonn when she crashed on the course, breaking her left leg.
After a shaky day in the ice rink, Ilia Malanin came through to help Team USA take the gold medal in Team figure skating.
A total of 15 countries have now earned medals in the 2026 Olympic Games. There are 92 nations competing in the various events plus the neutral athletes.
Host country Italy takes over the lead of the medal count with nine.
