The musical “The Queen of Versailles” has changed its closing date once again.

Last month, the show announced that they would close just after the holidays on January 4.

On December 9, the show announced that the new closing date will be before the holidays on December 21.

Starring and co-produced by Kristin Chenoweth, “The Queen of Versailles” opened to priveiws on October 8 with an official opening on November 9.

According to a statement issued by the producers, “unfortunately, the harsh economic realities of new Broadway musicals in a post-Covid landscape have caught up with us. The industry as a whole is no longer seeing the audience behaviors we’ve relied on to shape our strategies for decades. This has led us to the painful decision to move our closing earlier, to Sunday, December 21st.”
