The Irish band The Cranberries are celebrating the 30th anniversary release of their album “No Need. To Argue”. The anniversary release includes a variety of formats including a double LP Deluxe edition, a double CD Deluxe edition, single LP and CD releases, and a digital download release. The anniversary release features brand new stereo mixes from the album’s original producer Stephen Street.
There is also a limited edition triple LP release that included The Cranberries “MTV Unplugged” performance from April 1995 but is listed as being sold out.
Cranberries drummer Fergal Lawler spoke on the album saying, “sometimes, it feels like it’s only been a few years ago and other times it feels like an eternity. There are lots of memories still fresh in our minds. It’s hard to believe it’s been 30 years since its release.”
Originally released in October 1994, “No Need to Argue” was the band’s second album and their breakthrough to global success.
Lead singer and songwriter Dolores O’Riordan had no difficulties writing songs for the band; she tapped into her Irish roots and wrote about the world around her and “The Troubles”. She died in 2018 at the age of 46,
