…and some friends!

Magician Rob Lake is bringing his magic show to Broadway this fall and winter for a limited run beginning October 28 at the Broadhurst Theatre; and he is bringing some special friends along for his holiday show.

Lake is keeping things a secret but has revealed that they are members of The Muppets.  He has announced that one of his special guests will be Kermit the Frog.

The show begins October 28 with an official opening on November 6 and will run until January 18.

Lake first appeared on the television reality talent series “America’s Got Talent” and has subsequently toured the world, was the illusion designer for Adele’s Las Vegas show and “Death Becomes Her”, and has been a creative consultant.

Rob Lake is the youngest magician ever to win the Merlin Award for International Stage Magician of the Year.

Lake spoke on the upcoming show via statement saying, “I’ve been performing magic my entire life, and it has always been my greatest dream to perform my show on Broadway.  Like so many people around the world, I grew up with The Muppets. To work with them and create new illusions for them to appear in my show has been the most rewarding and surprisingly familiar moment. It’s like I have known them my entire life.”

Producers Joe Quenqua and Gareth Lake of Glass Half Full Productions spoke on Rob Lake saying, “after years of touring the world, we are so excited that Broadway audiences will finally get to marvel at the exceptional talents of Rob Lake.  Pairing his mind-blowing illusions with The Muppets and their singular classic humor is truly a dream come true—for all of us!”

Tickets go on sale beginning September 4.
