Earlier it was announced that Cythia Erivo and Adam Lambert would be the lead actors in a Hollywood Bowl production of the Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber musical “Jesus Christ Superstar” next month.
Now more artists have been added to the cast…
Phillipa Soo will play Mary Magdalene
Josh Gad will play Herod
Zachary James will play Caiaphas
Tyrone Huntley will play Simon
and Brian Crum will play Annas
The outdoor production will run August 1-3.

Previously announced Milo Manheim will play Peter
Raul Esparza is playing the role of Pontius Pilate.
Ian Ward, Joey Taranto, Clinton Roane, LJ Benet, Cooper Clack, LT Martinez, Isaiah Bailey, Brad Sharp, John E. Lucas, Summer Greer, Oyoyo Joi, Krystle Rose Simmons, and Emily Goglia will also be a part of the cast.
The production is being directed by Sergio Trujillo; as well as, the choreographer.
“Jesus Christ Superstar” premiered on Broadway in 1971, has seen a number of revivals, became a film in 1973, and has played on stages around the world.
