Rowdy’s Wins at 40

Seven time NASCAR champion Richard Petty will forever be known as The King!  His 200 Cup Series wins will most likely never be broken.

But there is one current NASCAR driver who has amassed a whopping 232 wins across all three racing series – two of which did not even exist when Petty was driving.  Kyle Busch has smashed records across the board with over 100 Xfinity Series wins, over 65 Craftsman Truck Series wins, and the only driver to win in all three series in the same weekend; a feat he mastered twice.  He also holds the record for the longest streak of at least one win in every season at 19.

On Rowdy’s 40^th birthday, here’s a look back at all 232 wins…
It all began on May 4, 2004 with an Xfinity Series win at Richmond Raceway
the second win came just four weeks later on May 29 in the Xfinity Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
And a month later he earned Xfinity Series win number three on June 19 at Kentucky Speedway
Rowdy would have to wait a bit for win number four until August 7, 2004 in Indianapolis at the Lucas Oil Raceway
Win number five followed just two weeks later on August 21 at Michigan International Speedway
After five wins in his rookie season as an Xfinity Series driver, Busch added Craftsman Truck Series races to his list and notched his first Truck Series win on May 20, 2005 at Charlotte Motor Speedway
The following week, Busch won his first Xfinity Series race of the 2005 season on May 28 at Charlotte Motor Speedway
On a winning streak, Rowdy earned Truck Series race number two one week later on June 4 at Dover Motor Speedway
Adding the Cup Series to his racing resume, Busch earned his first Cup Series win on September 4, 2005 at Auto Club Speedway
Rowdy earned Truck Series race number three on October, 29, 2005 at Atlanta Motor Speedway
The following month on November 13, he earned his second Cup Series win  at Phoenix Raceway
Rowdy gets his first win of the 2006 season in the Xfinity Series at Bristol Motor Speedway
In a return to Charlotte Motor Speedway, Rowdy earns his first Truck Series win of the season for his fourth overall Truck Series win
He earned career Cup Series win number three at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on July 16, 2006 for his first Cup Series win of the season
Rowdy earns his first race win of the 2007 season on March 25 in the Cup Series at Bristol Motor Speedway
The first Xfinity Series win of 2007 came on July 7 at Daytona International Speedway
The next win came in the Xfinity Series on September 7 at Richmond Raceway
And three weeks later Busch won Xfinity Series career win number 10 at Kansas Speedway
Rowdy earned his first Truck Series win of 2007 on October 27 at Charlotte Motor Speedway
He won in the Truck Series again on November 9, 2007 at Pheonix Raceway for career Truck Series win number six
And followed it the next day with a win in the Xfinity Series
Rowdy got 2008 off to a good start with a win in the Truck Series at Auto Club Speedway on February 23 for career win number seven
And followed that up with the second win of the season in the Truck Series at Atlanta Motor Speedway on March 7
Two days later on March 9, Rowdy crossed the finish line first in the Cup Series at Atlanta Motor Speedway for career win number five
On April 5, 2008, Rowdy earned his first win of the season in the Xfinity Series at Texas Motor Speedway
Busch earned career win number 13 in the Xfinity Series at Phoenix Raceway on April 11
He followed that up nine days later on April 20 at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City for career win number 14 in the Xfinity Series
The following week on April 27, Rowdy earned Cup Series career win number six at Talladega Superspeedway
Cup series win number seven came on May 10 at Darlington Raceway
Two weeks later on May 24, Xfinity Series win number 15 came at Charlotte Motor Speedway
On June 1, he earned career Cup Series win number eight at Dover Motor Speedway on the Monster Mile.
Three weeks later on June 22, he earned Cup Series win number nine on the road course at Sonoma Raceway
Busch earns career Cup Series win number 10 in the summer race at Daytona International Speedway on July 5
The July 11 race at Chicagoland Speedway brought Xfinity Series win number 16
And won again on July 12 at Chicagoland Speedway for Cup Series win number eleven
He earned his second win at Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Raceway on July 26 for career win number 17 in the Xfinity Series
The road course at Watkins Glen International brought Cup Series win number 12 on August 10, 2008
Truck Series win number nine came on August 20 at Bristol Motor Speedway
Rowdy earned Xfinity Series win number 18 on August 30 at Auto Club Speedway
Rowdy conquered Miles the Monster once again on September 20, 2008 with a win in the Xfinity Series at Dover Motor Speedway for win number 19
And career win number 20 came in the Xfinity Series on October 10 at Charlotte Motor Speedway
He notched another win in the Xfinity Series on November 1 at Texas Motor Speedway for win number 21
Rowdy got 2009 off to a good start with a win in the Truck Series at Auto Club Speedway on February 21, 2009 for career win number 10
Later that same day, he earned Xfinity Series win number 22 at Auto Club Speedway
Rowdy’s winning ways continued one week later on March 1 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for career win number 13 in the Cup Series
And on March 7 in the Craftsman Truck Series, he won Truck Series race number eleven at Atlanta Motor Speedway
And the winning way continued on March 22 at Bristol Motor Speedway for win number 14 in the Cup Series
And two weeks later on April 4 at Texas Motor Speedway, he earned Xfinity Series win number 23
May 1 at Richmond Raceway brought Xfinity Series win number 24
And the following day on May 2 he made it two in a row with a Cup Series win at Richmond Raceway for career win number 15
June 6 brought Xfinity Series win number 25 at Nashville Superspeedway
Rowdy finished June the same way he started…with a win…with Xfinity Series win number 26 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway
July 18 at the Xfinity Series race at World Wide Technology Raceway (Gateway), Rowdy earned race win number 27
August 19 brought Truck Series win number 12 on the short track at Bristol Motor Speedway
And three days later on August 22, he earned Cup Series win number 16 at Bristol Motor Speedway
The next week at Chicagoland Speedway on August 28, he earned Truck Series win number 13
A  month later on September 19 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway he earned Truck Series win number 14
October 16 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Rowdy earned Xfinity Series win number 28
Halloween 2009 at Talladega Superspeedway  Rowdy beat the field in the Craftsman Truck Series for win number 15
Winning every month in the season, Rowdy earned Truck Series win number 16 at Texas Motor Speedway on November 6
And won the Xfinity Series race on November 7 at Texas Motor Speedway
Busch closed out the 2009 season with a win at Homestead-Miami Speedway in the Xfinity Series on November 21
Rowdy started out 2010 the same way he ended 2009, with a win, he earned Xfinity Series number 31 at Auto Club Speedway on February 20, 2010
On April 2 Rowdy earned Truck Series win number 17 at Nashville Superspeedway on April 2
Just one week later on April 9, Rowdy brings home Xfinity Series win number 32 at Phoenix Raceway
April 19 brought Xfinity Series win number 33 at Texas Motor Speedway
May 1 brought Cup Series win number 17 at Richmond Raceway
On May 15 Rowdy won Xfinity Series number 34 at Dove Motor Speedway
And on May 16 Rowdy conquered Miles the Monster once again for Cub Series win number 18
Just five days later on May 21 at Charlotte Motor Speedway Busch won Truck Series race number 18
May 29 Rowdy ended May with win number 35 in the Xfinity Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway
June 26 Busch won Xfinity Series race number 36 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway
July 9 at Chicagoland Speedway he won Xfinity Series race number 37
On July 24 Rowdy won another Xfinity Series race number 38 at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis for win number 38 as he closes in on Mark Martin’s Xfinity Series record of 49 wins.
The following week he earned Xfinity Series win number 39 at Iowa Speedway
Truck Series win number 19 came on August 18 at Bristol Motor Speedway
August 20 brought Xfinity Series race number 40 at Bristol Motor Speedway
And on August 21 he makes it a double with a Cup Series win at Bristol Motor Speedway for win number 19
August 27, Rowdy earned Truck Series win number 20 at Chicagoland Speedway
On September 18 Busch got Truck Series win number 21 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway
Taking on Miles the Monster once again, Rowdy earned Xfinity Series win number 41 on September 25 at Dove Motor Speedway
The October 9 race at Auto Club Speedway brought Xfinity Series win number 42
On October 30 Busch earned Truck Series win number 22 at Talladega Motor Speedway
Making it two in a row, Rowdy won the Truck Series race number 23 at Texas Motor Speedway on November 5
On November 19 Rowdy earned Truck Series win number 24 at Homestead-Miami Speedway
Rowdy closed out the Xfinity Series season on November 20 at Homestead-Miami Speedway with a win
The 2011 season was also off to a good start with a Truck Series win at Phoenix Raceway on February 25, 2011 for win number 25
Creeping ever closer to the all time wins record, Rowdy makes it a double win weekend on February 26 with win number 44 at Phoenix Raceway
March 19 brought Xfinity Series win number 45 at Bristol Motor Speedway
And another double win weekend with Cup Series win number 20 on March 20, 2011
March 26 at Auto Club Speedway brought Xfinity Series win number 46
On April 16 Rowdy earned win number 47 in the Xfinity Series at Talladega Superspeedway
Truck Series win number 26 came on April 22 at Nashville Superspeedway
Cup Series win number 21 came on April 30 at Richmon Raceway
On May 6, Rowdy won Xfinity Series race number 48, just one race win away from tying Mark Martin’s record, at Darlington Raceway
Truck Series win number 27 came on May 13 at Dover Motor Speedway
And he followed that up with another win the next week on May 20 at Charlotte Motor Speedway for win number 28
It would be two months before Rowdy crossed the finish line first on July 7 for Truck Series win number 29 at Kentucky Speedway
Two days later on July 9, he notched the second win of the weekend for career Cup Series win number 22 at Kentucky Speedway
On July 16, 2011, Kyle Busch tied the record for the most career Xfinity Series wins with win number 49 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway
On August 21, Rowdy earned Cup Series win number 23 at Michigan International Speedway
And on August 26, Kyle Busch set a new career wins record when he won the race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway
And the Xfinity Series wins continue on September 9 with race win number 51 at Richmond Raceway
Truck Series career win number 30 came on September 21 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway
It would be several months before Rowdy would win again when he took the Cup Series win at Richmond Raceway for win number 24
Xfinity Series win number 52 came on March 2, 2013 at Phoenix Raceway
Two weeks later on March 16 he won race number 53 in the Xfinity Series at Bristol Motor Speedway
And won again the following week on March 23 in the Xfinity Series at Auto Club Speedway for win number 54
The next day on March 24, Rowdy made it a double weekend win at Auto Club Speedway for Cup Series win number 25
Xfinity Series win number 55 came on April 12 at Texas Motor Speedway
And for another doubleheader win, he earned Cup Series win number 26 on April 13 at Texas Motor Speedway
Busch won Xfinity Series win number 56 at Darlington Raceway on May 10, 2013
The following week on May 17, he won Truck Series race number 31 at Charlotte Motor Speedway
On another winning streak, Rowdy bowed with the checkered flag on May 25 with Xfinity Series win number 57 at Charlotte Motor Speedway
And the next week on May 31, Busck won Truck Series race number 32 at Dover Motor Speedway
After a couple of months of not winning, on July 13 Rowdy earns Xfinity Series race number 58 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway
On July 27 Rowdy wins Xfinity Series race number 59 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway
On August 11, Busch wins Cup Series race number 27 on the road course of Watkins Glen International
Craftsman Truck Series win number 33 comes on August 21, 2013 at Bristol Motor Speedway
Continuing the record setting wins streak in the Xfinity Series, Busch wins Xfinity Series number 60 on August 23 at Bristol Motor Speedway
Cup Series win number 28 came on September 1, 2013 at Atlanta Motor Speedway
Rowdy earns Truck Series win number 34 on September 13 at Chicagoland Speedway
And follows it up on September 14 for a double win weekend at Chicagoland Speedway for win number 61
On October 11 Rowdy won Xfinity Series race number 62 at Charlotte Motor Speedway
On November 9 he wins race number 63 in the Xfinity Series at Phoenix Raceway
Busch closed out the 2013 racing season with a win in the Truck Series at Homestead-Miami Speedway for win number 35
Busch opened the 2014 season at Daytona International Speedway with a win in the Craftsman Truck Series for win number 36
He earned Xfinity Series win number 64 on March 1 at Phoenix Raceway
On March 15 at Bristol Motor Speedway Busch wins Xfinity Series race number 65
March 23 brought Cup Series win number 29 at Auto Club Speedway
After a two month drought, Busch earned Truck Series race number 37 on May 9 at Kansas Speedway

After a bit of a dry spell due to injuries sustained at Daytona, Rowdy earns Xfinity Series win number 71 on June 13, 2015 at Michigan International Speedway
Cup Series number 30 came on June 28 on the road course at Sonoma Raceway
Busch added to his Cup Series wins on July 11 with win number 31 at Kentucky Speedway
Cup Series win number 32 came on July 19 at New Hampshire Speedway
On July 25 Busch earned Xfinity Series win number 72 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway
And made it another double win weekend on July 26 for Cup Series win number 33 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway
On August 1 Rowdy earned Truck Series race number 43 at Pocono Raceway
August 15 brought Truck Series win number 44 at Michigan International Speedway
Rowdy followed up the win on August 21 with a win in the Xfinity Series for win number 73
September 19 brought Xfinity Series win number 74 at Chicagoland Speedway
Xfinity Series number 75 came on October 17 at Kansas Speedway
Rowdy won Xfinity Series race number 76 at Phoenix Raceway
Closing out the 2015 season, Busch won Cup Series number 34 at Homestead-Miami Speedway on November 22
the 2016 racing season brought Xfinity Series win number 77 at Atlanta Motor Speedway on February 27, 2016
The following week on March 5 Rowdy pleased the home town crowd with Xfinity Series win number 78 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway
Making it three in a row, on March 12 Busch earned Xfinity Series race number 79 at Phoenix Raceway
On April 2, Busch won Truck Series race number 45 at Martinsville Speedway
Making it a doubleheader weekend on April 3, Busch won Cup Series race number 35 at the paperclip shaped track of Martinsville Speedway
The following week on April 8, Busch notched Xfinity Series win number 80 at Texas Motor Speedway
And once again it was a doubleheader weekend win at Texas Motor Speedway on April 9 with Cup Series win number 36
On May 7 he earns Cup Series win number 37 at Kansas Speedway
Busch wins Xfinity Series number 81 on July 8 at Kentucky Speedway
On July 16 Xfinity Series win number 82 comes at New Hampshire Motor Speedway
For the third week in a row on July 23, Busch notches a win with Xfinity Series win number 83 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Making it another doubleheader win, Busch takes the win at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for Cup Series win number 38
It isn’t until September 9 that Busch crosses the finish line first for Xfinity Series win number 84 at Richmond Raceway

Two weeks later on May 19, he earns Truck Series win number 48 at Charlotte Motor Speedway
On July 8 Busch wins Xfinity Series race number 88 at Kentucky Speedway
Xfinity Series win number 89 comes on July 15 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway
Cup Series win number 39 on July 30 at Pocono Raceway
On August  5 the list of wins gets a little closer to 100 with  Xfinity Series win number 90 at Watkins Glen International
August 16 brings Truck Series win number 49 on Bristol Motor Speedway

And for the first time in NASCAR history on August 19 a single driver sweeps all three races on a triple header weekend when Kyle Busch wins Cup Series race number 40

October 1 Rowdy earns Cup Series race number 42 at Dover Motor Speedway
Ending the moth the way it started, Busch wins Cup Series number 43 on October 29 at Martinsville Speedway
Truck Series win number 50 comes on March 2, 2018 at his home track of Las Vegas Motor Speedway
On April 8 Rowdy earns Cup Series win number 44 at Texas Motor Speedway
And one week later on April 16 he brings home Cup Series win number 45 on the short track at Bristol Motor Speedway
Rowdy makes it three in a row on April 21 with Cup Series win number 46 at Richmond Raceway
In the longest race of the season, Busch takes the checkered flag on May 27 at Charlotte Motor Speedway
Closing in on 100 Xfinity Series wins, Rowdy gets win number 92 at Pocono Raceway on June 2
Cup Series win number 48 comes on July 24 at Chicagoland Speedway
Craftsman Truck Series number 51 comes on July 28 at Pocono Raceway
And follows it up with a Cup Series win on July 29 at Pocono for win number 49
September 22 earns Rowdy Cup Series win number 50 at Richmond Raceway
The 2018 season ends with Cup Series win number 51 at Phoenix Raceway
Rowdy gets the 2019 season off to a winning start with a win on February 23 in the Craftsman Truck Series at Atlanta Motor Speedway for win number 52
And follows it up on March 1 with another win in the Truck Series for win number 53 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway
Making it a great homecoming, Rowdy wins the Xfinity Series race on March 2 for win number 93
March 9 brings Xfinity Series win number 94 at Phoenix Raceway.  Noting that he will never say never, Busch announces that when he reaches 100 Xfinity wins, he will not drive in the series any longer.
The season is off to a good start with another doubleheader weekend win when Rowdy earns the Cup Series win number 52 on March 10 at Phoenix Raceway
Cup Series win number 53 comes on March 17 at Auto Club Speedway
Rowdy earns Truck Series in number 54 on March 23 at Martinsville Speedway
And one week later notches Truck Series win number 55 at Texas Motor Speedway on March 29
And follows it up with Xfinity Series win number 95 on March 30 at Texas Motor Speedway for a doubleheader win
The April 7 Cup Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway earns Rowdy win number 54
On May 17 Busch wins Truck Series race number 56 at Charlotte Motor Speedway
Busch wins Cup Series win number 55 on June 2 at Pocono Raceway
Inching even closer to the 100 win mark, Rowdy earns Xfinity Series win number 96 on September 7 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway
The 2019 race at Homestead-Miami Speedway on November 17 earns Rowdy Cup Series win number 56
The 2020 season begins with a Truck Series win at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on February 21 for win number 57
On May 25 with the Covid pandemic in full swing, Rowdy wins Xfinity Series race number 97 before a track full of empty seats at Charlotte Motor Speedway
Still under Covid protocols, Rowdy earns Truck Series race number 58 on June 13 at Homestead-Miami Speedway
And Truck Series win number 59 comes on July 18 at Texas Motor Speedway
October 25 earns Rowdy Cup Series win number 57 at Texas Motor Speedway as the racing schedule is latered and travel limited due to Covid protocols
Busch earns Truck Series race number 60 on March 20, 2021 at Atlanta Motor Speedway
May 1 at Kansas Speedway is the site for Truck Series win number 61
And in another doubleheader win, Rowdy gets Cup Series win number 58 on May 2 at Kansas Speedway
On May 22, Rowdy wins Xfinity Series number 98 on the road course at Circuit of the Americas (COTA)
Rowdy follows up with Xfinity Series win number 99 on June 12 at Texas Motor Speedway
Xfinity Series race win number 100 comes on June 19 at Nashville Superspeedway.   Is Rowdy truly done with the Xfinity Series???
On June 27, Busch wins Cup Series race number 59 at Pocono Raceway
Running the road course at Road America, Rowdy gets Xfinity Series win number 101 on July 3
And the final Xfinity Series win comes on July 10 at Atlanta Motor Speedway for a total of 102 Xfinity Series wins!

Craftsman Truck Series win number 62 comes on June 11, 2022 on the road course at Sonoma Raceway
On February 26, 2023, Busch wins Cup Series race number 61 at Auto Club Speedway – the final race on the current configuration of the track
Rowdy gets a hometown win on March 3, 2023 for Truck Series win number 63 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

To date, Kyle Busch has 67 Craftsman Truck Series wins, 102 Xfinity Series wins, and 63 Cup Series wins for a total of 232 wins.  He is also a two time Cup Series champion.  Busch has won on nearly every track in the NASCAR circuit; but the one race he has failed to win in 20 years is the Daytona 500.
