After rains cancelled out practice and qualifying for the Craftsman Truck Series at Texas Motor Speedway, NASCAR has set the field according to their metric that include previous race finish and owner points.

Stages one and two of the race are 40 laps each with stage three lasting 87 laps for a total of 167 laps around the mile and a half track.  The drivers can run 50 to 55 laps on a single load of fuel.

Joey Logano joins Jamie Little and Michael Waltrip in the broadcast booth for the race.

NASCAR has called for a competition caution on lap 20 after some heavy rains cleaned the track and wiped out practice and qualifying.  The drivers cannot add fuel to the trucks until the competition caution.

Tyler Ankrum brings the field down for the green flag start of the race with Daniel Hemric alongside.  Ankrum edges out for the lead with the  drivers getting three wide.  Drivers are event getting four and five wide across the track.

Lap two Tyler Ankrum leads the race with Jake Garcia on his bumper; Rajah Caruth, Daniel Hemric, and Chandler Smith round out the top five.

Lap four, Daniel Hemric has fallen to eighth place after starting the race on the front row.

Lap five, Tyler Ankrum has a narrow lead on Jake Garcia; Rajah Caruth, Layne Riggs, and Gio Ruggiero round out the top five.

After getting loose on lap one, Grant Enfinger has fallen to 23rd place.

Lap eight, Tyler Ankrum has pulled out to a lead of nearly a second and a half on Layne Riggs; Jake Garcia, Rajah Caruth, and Gio Ruggiero round out the top five.

Lap 10, Tyler Ankrum’s lead is now down to under a second on Layne Riggs.

Lap 12, Layne Riggs is just a tenth of a second behind leader Tyler Ankrum; Jake Garcia, Rajah Caruth, and Gio Ruggiero round out the top five.

Lap 16, Tyler Ankrum holds a lead of less than two tenths of a second on Layne Riggs.

Lap 17, Toni Breidinger is the only truck not on the lead lap.

Lap 19, the top five are Tyler Ankrum, Layne riggs, Corey Heim, Jake Garcia, and Gio Ruggiero.

Tyler Ankrum is having some radio issues.

Lap 21, NASCAR displays the yellow flag for the competition caution.  Josh Reaume is the “lucky dog”.

Leaders stay out on the track with Chandler Smith and most of the back of the field coming down pit road for service.  Drivers can conceivably make it to the end of stage two after stopping during the competition caution.

Tyler Ankrum brings the field down for the green flag restart with Layne Riggs alongside for the green flag restart on lap 26 but it is Layne Riggs who edges out for the lead.  Tyler Ankrum takes the lead.

Layne Riggs comes up on the outside lane to battle for the lead and getting out in front on lap 27.

Lap 27, the top five are Layne Riggs, Jake Garcia, Corey Heim, Tyler Ankrum, and Ty Majeski.

Ty Majeski got slideways but saved the truck and the track stays green.

Lap 30, Corey Heim passes Jake Garcia for second with Layne Riggs a half second in front.

Gio Ruggiero gets into the grass and hits Kaden Honeycutt.  Stewart Friesen and Brandon Jones also received some damage to their trucks.  Ruggiero loses a tire that goes rolling down the track.

Drivers come down pit road for service with Cody Dennison winning the race off of pit road.

Stewart Friesen was caught speeding on pit road.  Ben Rhodes was charged with equipment interference on pit road.  Both drivers will restart the race from the back of the field.

After staying out on the track Matt Crafton brings the field down for the green flag restart with Grant Enfinger.

Lap 39 Grant Enfinger leads the race with Matt Mills in second.

Grant Enfinger wins stage one for his first stage win of the season.

Lap 49, Grant Enfinger leads the race as drivers weave back and forth looking for position.

Lap 50, Corey Heim passes Matt Crafton for second.

Lap 51, the top five are Grant Enfinger, Corey Heim, Matt Crafton, Daniel Hemric, and Chandler Smith.

The caution flag comes out on l p 52 when Layne Riggs gets into the wall after contact with Ty Majeski.

Ty Majeski was charged with coming down pit road too soon.  The seven truck of Carson Hocevar had too many crew members over the wall and will have to restart the race from the back of the field.

Corey Heim brings the field down for the green flag restart with Grant Enfinger alongside on lap 57.  Heim had taken the lead just before the caution flag came out.

The caution flag comes out when Andres Perez spins out and gets into the wall.

Luke Fenhaus needs a little help with his 66 truck and is getting a push to the garage.

Drivers come down pit road for service with Corey Heim winning the race off of pit road.  The 76 truck of Spencer Boyd had an uncontrolled tire and will have to restart the race from the back of the field.

After staying out on the track, Ty Majeski brings the field down for the green flag start of stage three with Carson Hocevar alongside on lap 82.  Corey Heim restarts in sixth place.  Majeski takes the lead with Connor Mosack in second.  Drivers are getting three wide.

Lap 107, Stewart Friesen passes Tanner Gray and Ty Majeski for third.

Lap 113, Ty Majeski gets into the wall but gets going again and the track stays green.

Toni Breidinger was caught speeding on pit road and will have to serve a passthrough penalty.

Lap 117, Corey Heim continues to increase his lead and is now four and a half seconds out in front of Carson Hocevar.

Fifty laps remain in the race with Corey Heim out in front of the field with a five second lead.

Lap 119, Ty Majeski comes down pit road for service.

Carson Hocevar and Tanner Gray come down pit road as the green flag pit stop cycle have begun.

Corey Heim is “driving it like he stole it” with a big lead ov over eleven seconds on Stewart Friesen.

Tanner Gray was charged with speeding on pit road and will have to serve a passthrough penalty.

Lap 127, Corey Heim gives up the lead to make his green flag pit stop.  Stewart Friesen is the new leader.

Lap 129, Stewart Friesen makes his pit stop and gives the lead over to Rajah Caruth.

Lap 131, the top five drivers have yet to make a green flag pit stop.

Lap 132, after making his pit stop, Corey Heim has entered the top five and is in third place.

Carson Hocevar reports that he is losing voltage again.

Rajah Caruth makes his pit stop and gives the lead over to Jake Garcia.  Corey Heim is in second place.

Nick Sanchez has been charged with going through too many pit boxes.

Lap 137, Jake Garcia makes his pit stop and gives the lead over to Corey Heim.

The top five are Corey Heim, Carson Hocevar, Chandler smith, Stewart Friesen, and Ben Rhodes.

Toni Breidinger and Cody Dennison were charged with driving through too many pit boxes.

Lap 141, Carson Hocevar gives up second place to come down pit road for a battery change.
Toni Breidinger was headed for the garage and makes contact with Carson Hocevar who was in his pit stall getting a battery change.

Lap 145, the top five are Corey Heim, Chandler Smith, Stewart Friesen, Ben Rhodes, and Grant Enfinger.

Carson Hocevar is three laps down in 24th after his pit road incident.

The eighth caution flag comes out on lap 147 for Frankie Muniz who gets into the wall.

Toni Breidinger, her crew chief, and spotter have been invited to the NASCAR hauler after the race.

Corey Heim has a lead of over 10 seconds on Chandler Smith.

Corey Heim gives up the lead to come down pit road.  Several drivers also make a pit stop.

The ninth caution flag comes out with 12 laps to go for a crash involving Stewart Friesen and Grant Enfinger.  Chandler Smith was also involved when he was hit by Friesen.

NASCAR  has red flagged the race in order to get the track cleaned up and repair the saver barrier after Stewart Friesen gets into the wall hard.

The top five are Corey Heim, Ben Rhodes, Rajah Caruth, Stefan Parsons, and Danield Hemric.

Track workers have gone through the field offering water to the drivers.

The red flag is withdrawn after nearly five minutes and the yellow is displayed as the drivers get moving once again with eleven laps remaining in the race.

Chandler Smith was charged with pitting too soon.

The race goes into overtime for the first time in 22 races.  Texas Motor Speedway has been the site of 14 overtime finishes.

There have been 10 trucks who did not finish the race tonight.
