After rains cancelled out practice and qualifying for the Craftsman Truck Series at Texas Motor Speedway, NASCAR has set the field according to their metric that include previous race finish and owner points.
Tyler Ankrum sits on the pole with Daniel Hemric alongside on the front row.

Stages one and two of the race are 40 laps each with stage three lasting 87 laps for a total of 167 laps around the mile and a half track. The drivers can run 50 to 55 laps on a single load of fuel.

NASCAR has called for a competition caution on lap 20 after some heavy rains cleaned the track and wiped out practice and qualifying. The drivers cannot add fuel to the trucks until the competition caution.

Lap 12, Layne Riggs is just a tenth of a second behind leader Tyler Ankrum; Jake Garcia, Rajah Caruth, and Gio Ruggiero round out the top five.
Lap 16, Tyler Ankrum holds a lead of less than two tenths of a second on Layne Riggs.
Lap 17, Toni Breidinger is the only truck not on the lead lap.
Lap 19, the top five are Tyler Ankrum, Layne riggs, Corey Heim, Jake Garcia, and Gio Ruggiero.

Lap 21, NASCAR displays the yellow flag for the competition caution. Josh Reaume is the “lucky dog”.
Leaders stay out on the track with Chandler Smith and most of the back of the field coming down pit road for service. Drivers can conceivably make it to the end of stage two after stopping during the competition caution.
Tyler Ankrum brings the field down for the green flag restart with Layne Riggs alongside for the green flag restart on lap 26 but it is Layne Riggs who edges out for the lead. Tyler Ankrum takes the lead.
Layne Riggs comes up on the outside lane to battle for the lead and getting out in front on lap 27.

Ty Majeski got slideways but saved the truck and the track stays green.
Lap 30, Corey Heim passes Jake Garcia for second with Layne Riggs a half second in front.
Gio Ruggiero gets into the grass and hits Kaden Honeycutt. Stewart Friesen and Brandon Jones also received some damage to their trucks. Ruggiero loses a tire that goes rolling down the track.
Drivers come down pit road for service with Cody Dennison winning the race off of pit road.
Stewart Friesen was caught speeding on pit road. Ben Rhodes was charged with equipment interference on pit road. Both drivers will restart the race from the back of the field.
After staying out on the track Matt Crafton brings the field down for the green flag restart with Grant Enfinger.

Ty Majeski was charged with coming down pit road too soon. The seven truck of Carson Hocevar had too many crew members over the wall and will have to restart the race from the back of the field.

NASCAR has red flagged the race in order to get the track cleaned up and repair the saver barrier after Stewart Friesen gets into the wall hard.

Track workers have gone through the field offering water to the drivers.
The red flag is withdrawn after nearly five minutes and the yellow is displayed as the drivers get moving once again with eleven laps remaining in the race.
