Later this year the massively successful musical “Hamilton” will celebrate 10 years on Broadway. As a part of that celebration, the original Aaron Burr, Leslie Odom Jr makes a return to that role for a limited engagement from September 9 to November 23.
Odom won a Tony Award for his portrayal of Hamilton in 2016 – one of eleven Tony Awards won by the musical and cast.
Speaking on his return to “Hamilton”, Odom said, “returning to ‘Hamilton’is a deeply meaningful homecoming. I’m so grateful for the chance to step back into the room—especially during this anniversary moment—and to revisit this brilliant piece that forever changed my life and the lives of so many.”
Created by Lin-Manuel Miranda, “Hamilton” tells the story of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton.
Since leaving “Hamilton”, Odom has appeared in “Purlie Victorious: A Non-Confederate Romp Through the Cotton Patch”, the television series “The Good Wife”, “Murder on the Orient Express”, “One Dollar”, “Only, Love in the Time of Corona”, “Central Park”, “Abbott Elementary”, “The Many Saints of Newark”, and “One Night in Miami”.
