Tires appeared to be the big problem last weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.  Two teams had tires come off of the cars and one team barely missed losing a tire after stopping in a teammate’s pit stall to get the tire tightened.

Joe Gibbs Racing driver Chase Briscoe and Richard Childress Racing driver Kyle Busch were each penalized two laps after the number 19 and number eight cars lost a wheel on the racing surface.

In further penalties, NASCAR issues the expected suspensions on Wednesday.  Eight team jackman Dylan Moser and rear tire changer Shiloh Windsor and number 19 team jackman Caleb Dirks and rear tire changer Daniel Smith have each been suspended for the next two races.

Whether it was a single lug hub in the Cup Series or the standard five lug nut hubs on the Xfinity and Craftsman Truck Series vehicles; the lug nut monster was very busy in Las Vegas.

The lug nut monster was very busy with four Xfinity Series teams and one Craftsman Truck Series team were charged with having improperly secured lug nuts in post race inspections.
