Alicia Keys, Carole King, Michael Jackson, Neil Diamond, and Gloria and Emilio Estavez have all had musicals based on their life and music.  Dolly Parton is in the process of creating a musical of her own.

Sweet Baby James himself – James Taylor – may be the next musician  to have his own musical.

Based on his song “Fire and Rain”, Tony and Pulitzer Prize Award winning playwright Tracy Letts is in the process of developing the musical.  Tony Award winning director David Cromer has been tapped to direct the production.

No timeline has been set for when the musical will be ready for its debut.
