Next month “Gypsy” returns to Broadway at the Majestic Theatre. In celebration of the musical’s revival on Broadway starring Audra McDonald as Rose, the show is offering a special gift to the first 88 fans in line at the box office when tickets go on sale October 10.
The 88 is in honour of the 88 cents Rose’s father will not give her to expand Baby June’s act. The first 88 people in line to purchase tickets will also receive a limited edition of window card signed by Audra McDonald, Danny Burstein, Joy Woods, and Jordan Tyson. Window cards are limited to one per person.
Previews for “Gypsy” begin November 21 with an opening night on December 19.
Seats have just become available for the November 22 and 23 performances but can only be purchased in person at the box office.
“Gypsy” originally appeared on Broadway in 1959 starring Ethel Merman. The production starring Audra McDonald will be the fifth revivlal of the show.
