The fall Broadway season has officially begun and the new shows are drawing in the audiences as the box office draw across Broadway increased over 10 percent. With only six performances last week “Sunset Boulevard” – still in previews – has joined the Million Dollar Club.
Nearly a third of the 32 productions currently running made it into the Million Dollar Club last week.
Four shows had sell outs last week – “The Outsiders”, “McNeal”, Oh, Mary!”, and new addition “Romeo and Juliet”.
But long standing Broadway shows “Wicked”, “The Lion King”, and “Hamilton” were joined by “The Outsiders” and “Hell’s Kitchen” made the top five last week with “Wicked” topping the two million dollar mark.

In the 90 percent club, the top four shows had at least 100 percent capacity last week with two of them topping the 100 percent mark. Thirteen shows had an audience capacity of at least 90 percent last week.
