Penalties were light this week when NASCAR issued three penalties, all for lug nut infractions.
In the Xfinity Series, crew chief Andy Street for the Richard Childress Racing number 21 driven by Austin Hill was fined $5,000 for having a single lug nut improperly secured after the Penzoil 250 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
On Friday night, the Craftsman Truck Series ran the TSport 200 at Indianapolis Raceway Park where Blake Bainbridge, the crew chief for the number 43 McAnally-Hilgemann Racing truck driven by Daniel Dye and Tyler Young, crew chief for the Young Motorsports number 46 truck driven by Thad Moffitt were each fined $2,500 for a single lug nut not being properly secured.
NASCAR is currently taking a break to make way for the Summer Olympic Games in Paris, Feance.
