There was plenty of action on the track last week at Phoenix Raceway; but despite reports of record setting penalties for speeding, things went fairly smoothly on pit road.

When NASCAR issued this week’s penalty report, there were just two penalties issued to Xfinity Series teams for lug nut infractions in post race inspection.

NASCAR requires that all 20 (five lug nuts on each wheel) lug nuts must be properly secured.

The number two Richard Childress Racing car driven by Jesse Love and the number 48 Big MachineRacing car driven by Parker Kligerman each had a single lug nut improperly secured.  As a result, crew chief Danny Stockman for Love and Patrick Donahue for Kligerman were each fined $5,000.

The Xfinity Series has this weekend off but will return next week for some road course racing at COTA.
