This week a new production joined the list of offerings on Broadway when the revival of “An Enemcy of the People” opened in previews.  And right out of the gate, the production landed a spot in the Million Dollar Club for this week.  The play also topped the 90 percent club with Standing Room Only crowds of 103 percent capacity.

Despite the popularity of the new play, the overall numbers across Broadway were down  by some 10 percent.

Also in its first week, “Water for Elephants” only ran five performances and brought in over half a million.

The family friendly productions continue to lead the way with the biggest numbers.
