For the first time in Latin Grammy history, the awards ceremonies were held outside of the United States in Seville, Spain.

Edgar Barrera led the way with 13 nominations and took home three awards, Karol G, Bizzarap, Shakira, and Natalia Lafourcade were the other big winners of the night, taking home trophies for the biggest awards.

Lafourcade added to her record breaking 14 Latin Grammy Awards – the most by any artist.

With the awards gala being held in Seville, it meant that Flamenco performances were as popular as the artists up for the various awards.

With Spanish culture in full view, the Latin Recording Academy presented the 2023 President’s Award to Spanish born actor Antonio Banderas.
