Seventeen time Grammy Award winning bass player and singer for The Police, Sting has been making music in bands and as a solo artist for over 40 years.  This year marks the 30th anniversary of his triple platinum album “Ten Summoner’s Tales”.  The album also earned Sting three Grammy Awards and a Brit Award.

In celebration, Sting is releasing a digital only expanded edition of the album.  The new release features the original 12 songs plus 15 bonus songs – eleven of which have never been released in a digital format.

The album was originally released on March 1, 1993 and includes the hits “If I Ever Lose My Faith in You”, “Fields of Gold” and “Shape of My Heart”.  The bonus tracks are a mix of B-sides to singles, live performances, alternate recordings, and remixes.

Known the world over simply as Sting – a name bestowed on the artist by some former bandmates over his choice of clothing – his given surname is Sumner.  Sting does a play on words of his name and “The Canterbury Tales” the summoner by Geoffrey Chaucer for the title of the album.

The album is available now and sells for $14.99 on iTunes and $14,49 on Amazon Music
