This weekend Kevin Harvick will not only make his final start at Auto Club Speedway; it will be consecutive start number 750. Currently Harvick ranks third in consecutive race starts in the Cup Series with Martin Truex Jr, Joey Logano, and Brad Keselowski as the only active drivers on the All Time consecutive start list.
But who tops the list and does Harvick have a chance to move up any further???

Paul Menard has spot number 25 with 452 consecutive starts from July 1, 2007 to November 17, 2019
A Talladega wreck shortened Dale Earnhardt Jr’s consecutive streak to just 461 starts from November 21, 1999 to October 7 2012.
David Ragan stands at 23rd with 469 consecutive starts between February 18, 2007, and February 16, 2020.
Currently ranked at 22nd, Brad Keselowski has the opportunity to add to his streak which was started in Talladega on November 1, 2009 and stands at 473.
At 21st is Greg Biffle with a streak of 501 starts beginning March 9, 2003 and ending November 20, 2016.
The 2022 Cup Series champion Joey Logano currently stands at 20th on the all time consecutive start list with 505 starts that began February 15, 2009 at Daytona.
The King Richard Petty had a consecutive start streak of 513 races from November 14, 1971 to March 19, 1989 to place him in 19th on the list.
Three time Cup Series champion Tony Stewart holds down the number 18 spot with a streak of 521 consecutive races from February 14, 1999 to August 4, 2013.
Kasey Kahne comes in in 17th on the consecutive start list with 529 starts from February 15, 2004 to September 2, 2018.
Currently working on a new streak in the broadcast booth, Clint Bowyer holds down number 16 on the consecutive start list with 540 from February 19, 2006 to November 8, 2020.
New NASCAR Hall of Fame member Matt Kenseth sits in 15th on the all time list with 571 consecutive starts form February 20, 2000 to November 1, 2015.
Ken Schrader sits in 14th on the all time consecutive start list with 579 from February 17, 1985 to July 27, 2003.
Now working with FOX as a member of the NASCAR broadcast crew, Jamie McMurray is in 13th place on the all time list with 581 consecutive starts form October 27, 2002 to February 17, 2019.
After contemplating hanging up the helmet, Martin Truex Jr decided to keep it going and is sitting in 12th place on the consecutive start list with 613 starts. Truex started his streak on February 19, 2006.
Sitting just outside of the top 10 is Mark Martin with 621 consecutive starts. Martin’s streak runs form February 14, 1988 to March 18, 2007.
Kicking off the top 10 is Jeff Burton who had a total of 628 consecutive race starts that ran from March 24, 1996 to November 17, 2013.
Sitting in ninth place is Dale Earnhardt Sr who at the time of his death had a consecutive start streak of 648 races that began in 1979 and ran to 2001 at Daytona where he died after a head on collision with the wall.
Also seeing his career end at Daytona, Ryan Newman is in eighth place with 649 race starts from February 2002 to February 16, 2020 where a scary wreck sent Newman to the hospital.
Seventh on the list is the iceman himself Terry Labonte with 655 consecutive starts form Jan 14, 1979 to July 23, 2000.
While he didn’t really retire as a racer, Jimmie Johnson’s consecutive race start streak sits at 663 with NASCAR to put him at sixth on the list. Spending his entire career at Hendrick Motorsports, Johnson’s streak runs form February 17, 2002 to June 28, 2020.
Rusty Wallace holds down fifth place with a consecutive start streak of 697 races from February 19, 1984 to November 20, 2005.
Younger brother Bobby Labonte beats out his older brother Terry to hold down fourth place on the all time start list with 704 races from February 14, 1993 to June 23, 2013.
Third place driver Kevin Harvick sits at 749 consecutive starts but will add to that list as his final season progresses. While Harvick will approach the second spot, there are not enough races in the season for Harvick to move up the list. Harvick began his start streak on April 21, 2002 after he made his debut in 2001 taking over with the 29 car (formerly the number 3) after the death of Dale Earnhardt S4.
Number two on the list is Ricky Rudd with 788 consecutive race starts; a streak that began at Riverside on January 11, 1981 and ended on November 20, 2005.
And topping the list with the longest consecutive NASCAR Cup Series starts with 797 is four time Cup Series champion Jeff Gordon. He began his streak on November 15, 1992 and ran until November 22, 2015. While no longer a driver, Gordon continues to work in NASCAR as an executive and co-owner at Hendrick Motorsports.
