This summer NASCAR will run their first ever street course on the street of Chicago.  Looking to make it more than just a couple of races over the holiday weekend, NASCAR has planned a rock and country concerts to accompany the Xfinity and Cup Series races on July 1 and 2.

The Chainsmokers, Miranda Lambert, The Black Crowes, Charley Crockett will headline concerts

The drivers will run a 12 turn, two plus mile trip through the streets of downtown Chicago, passing some of the city’s most iconic locations along the way.

Chicago Street Race President Julie Giese spoke on the race saying,
“the Chicago Street Race is truly a first-of-its-kind two-day sports and entertainment event in the 75-year history of NASCAR.  We are proud to welcome superstars The Chainsmokers, Miranda Lambert, The Black Crowes, and Charley Crockett as we reimagine the NASCAR experience in the heart of downtown Chicago over Fourth of July weekend.”

The Black Crowes will take to the stage for a performance following practice and qualifying for both the Xfinity and Cup Series drivers.

At the conclusion of the Xfinity Series, The Chainsmokers will take the stage for a full concert.

On Sunday, July 2 the Cup Series will take to the streets for their race with Charley Crockett and Miranda Lambert finishing out the festivities with a concert.

Alex Pall and Drew Taggert – better known as The Chainsmokers are platinum selling electronic dance music artists who have earned a Grammy Award, two American Music Awards, and 10 Billboard Music Awards.

After appearing on the country music reality competition show “Nashville Star” Miranda Lambert burst on the Country music scene and has very quickly collected a room full of trophies including three Grammy Awards and 37 Academy of Country Music Awards including an Entertainer of the Year Award.

The Black Crowes have been making music for over 30 years and over the years have sold millions of albums around the world.

Charley Crockett has taken a plethora of musical styles including country, blues, R&B, and cajun to create his own unique style of music he calls Gulf & Western.

General admission tickets for the Chicago Street Race weekend go on sale February 2 and begin at $269 for two days of racing and music.  Two day reserved tickets begin at $465 and include reserved seating plus premium experiences including a seating area above pit road.  Ticket prices include all taxes and fees.
