The Colorado band The Runaway Grooms is preparing to release their third album early next year as they continue to keep music fans guessing.  Playing what they call genre melding music, the band is set to release “This Road” on February 10.

Adam Tobin, Cody Scott, Zach Gillam, Justin Bisset, and Zac Cialek – The Runaway Grooms – pride themselves on their eclectic musical tastes and freely meld styles and genres to create their own unique sound.

On “This Road” the band melds the songwriting vibe of American Roots music with their jam band roots; along with, some jazz-fusion.  The Runaway Grooms taps into the music of Steely Dan, the Atlanta Rhythm Section, Yes, The Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and the Grateful Dead for some musical influence.

For the new album, the rockers have tapped into their own life on the road as inspiration for the songs.  The band even used some live recording in the studio to bring that live on stage feel.

The Runaway Grooms have just finish up their fall tour but have one more date this year on December 10 at the 10 Mile Music Hall in Frisco, CO.
