In 2023 NASCAR will celebrate its 75th anniversary and part of that celebration includes a new race and a return to a very old track.

For the first time NASCAR’s history, the drivers will run on the streets when the Xfinity and Cup Series drivers take to the streets of Chicago.  The race will mark only the second time NASCAR has run on something other than a traditional track.  The races at Daytona originally began on the white sands of Daytona Beach.

The races in Chicago will not run until Independence Day weekend on July 1 and 2; but the reserved seat ticket packages go on sale November 10 at 10am central time.  General admission tickets will go on sale at a later date.

The 2.2 mile course features 12 turns and will pass some of the most iconic landmarks of Chicago and along Lake Michigan.

Chicago Street Race President Julie Giese spoke on the upcoming races and other planned events saying, “Chicago is one of the most iconic cities in the world, and the first-ever NASCAR Cup Series street race in the heart of downtown will be one of the can’t-miss sporting events in 2023.  The best part is, we will have options available for everyone ranging from all-inclusive packages with driver meet-and-greets to a free experience in Butler Field. We truly want anyone interested in experiencing a one-of-a-kind sports and entertainment festival to join us in Chicago over the Fourth of July weekend.”

Reserved seat ticket packages begin at $465 with general admission packages beginning at $269.  Reserved tickets include a spot in one of several reserved seating locations.  All ticket packages include both races and all concerts being planned for the festive weekend.  Prices include all taxes and fees.  There are also some payment packages available.

Fans may purchase tickets by going to NASCARChicago.com or by calling 1-800-629-7223.
