A few more pieces of the 2022 Silly Season puzzle have fallen into place over the past couple of days with contract extensions and one driver announcing that he indeed will be back for another year.

William Byron has signed a multi year extension with Hendrick Motorsports and Ricky Stenhouse Jr has also signed a contract extension with car owner JTG Daugherty Racing.

On June 24, Martin Truex Jr cleared up a great deal of speculation simply by saying, “I will be back for another year.”

Stewart-Haas Racing is still quiet on their plans to replace Aric Almirola as the driver of the number 10 car.  At the beginning of the season, Almirola announced that this would be his last season as a full time driver in NASCAR.  He wants to spend more time with his wife and children.

And while Joe Gibbs Racing has announced a contract extension of a crew member; there has still been no news on a new sponsor for the number 18 car or of a new contract for the number 18 driver Kyle Busch.
