In recent years more and more artists are foregoing massive tours for a one stop performance venue in Las Vegas.

Rocker David Lee Roth is using the entertainment mecca for his retirement performances.  But with the newest rise of Covid cases, Roth is among the latest artists to postpone or cancel dates.  Roth cancelled his New Year’s performances at Mandalay Bay and has now cancelled the remainder of his farewell performance dates.

The 67 year old rocker cited the coronavirus as the reason the cancellations.  Roth has also said that those were to be his final performance dates; saying that he is “throwing in the shoes.”

Roth had revealed in October that he was going to retire after the House of Blues shows.  Reflecting on the death of fellow rocker Eddie Van Halen, Roth noted, “I am encouraged and compelled to really come to grips with how short time is and my time is probably even shorter.”
