The wait is over for fans of the reality dancing competition show “Dancing with the Stars”. On September 8, ABC revealed the celebrity cast members for season 30.

It was previously announced that pop singer JoJo Siwa and Olympic gold medal gymnast Suni Lee would be a part of the show. And in a DWTS first, Siwa will have a female dance partner.

Meet the celebrities:

Jimmie Allen is a songwriter and Country music singer who made history in 2018 when he became the first man of colour to have the first two singles from his debut album reach number one. Allen is the Academy of Country Music’s New Male Artist of the Year.

Better known to Spice Girls fans as Sporty Spice, Melanie C becomes the second Spice Girl – after Mel B. to join the cast of “Dancing with the Stars”. The Spice Girls broke onto the music scene in 1996 with “Wannabe”. Mel and the Spice Girls have gone on to sell over 85 million albums around the world.

Known as a star on the Netflix series “Bling Empire”, Christine Chiu is the founder of Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery and the Regenerative Medicine Aesthetic Institute.

Actor Brian Austin Green broke out on the series “Beverly Hills, 90210”. He has gone on to appear in numerous productions including a guest judge on “The Masked Singer” and the executive producer for the 90210 remake.

Best known for her role as Jan Levinson on “The Office”, Melora Hardin has appeared in over 100 productions including “Transparent”, “A Million Little Things”, and “The Bold Type”.

You Tube influencer Olivia Jade offer advice to young women on fashion, lifestyles, wellness, and social issues. She has garnered over three million followers.

The first man of colour on “The Bachelor”, Matt James is this season’s selection from “The Bachelor” franchise to appear on DWTS. A former pro football player, James now calls New York City home where he finds creative ways to engage youth in under served areas of NYC.

Broadway actress and television host Amanda Kloots came to the nation’s attention last year when her husband Nick Cordero was hospitalized with the Covid-19 virus and subsequently died as a result of the virus leaving Kloots alone with a small son. One of the hosts for the talk show series “The Talk”, Kloots is also a dance and fitness guru who has led many classes in the New York City area.

Veteran actor Martin Kove has appeared in over 200 film and television productions including the original “Karate Kid” as John Kreese. He most recently reprised the role of Kreese on the television series “Cobra Kai”.

Suni Lee is a three time Olympic medal winning gymnast who most recently brought home the gold medal for the individual all-around at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The 18 year old will be working on her dance moves in between classes at Auburn University.

Known as “The Miz” in the wrestling ring, Mike Mizanin has been a part of WWE – World Wrestling Entertainment – for the past 12 years. Prior to making his mark in the wrestling ring, The Miz was a staple on MTV’s reality shows.

Best known for her role on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”, Kenya Moore is a former Miss USA – only the second woman of colour to hold the title – and has her onwn hair care line.

Dancer Cody Rigsby has shared the stage with the likes of Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj and has gone on to become a Peloton instructor who is the director of Cycling Content. He pushes class members to push themselves but have fun in the process.

NBA basketball player Iman Shumpert was drafted by the New York Knicks in 2011. He went on to play for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Houston Rockets, Sacramento Kings, and the Brooklyn Nets before turning his attention to music and rapping where he goes by Iman. He most recently added acting to his list of accomplishments by entering the reality series world.

Identifying herself as a lesbian, pop singer JoJo Siwa is the first cast member of DWTS that will be dancing with a same sex partner. With over 80 million social media fans, Siwa will be starring in the new series “The J Team”. She is also an executive producer of the live-action musical sereis.
