Over the past 10 days of competition in the Tokyo Summer Olympic games, the International Olympic Committee has awarded hundreds of medals to athletes in 80 countries.  Puerto Rico, Kenya, Morocco, and Armenia have all added their names to the lists of medal winning countries.

The People’s Republic of China added five more gold medals to increase their lead in the gold medal race; the United States added a total of five more medals to hold on to the over all medal count with 64 – 22 gold, 25, silver, and 17 bronze.

The People’s Republic of China, the United States, and the Russian Olympic Committee are the only countries to top the 50 medal count.
