On a hot June afternoon in Texas, the Xfinity Series finishes out a Saturday doubleheader with the Alsco Uniforms 250 at Texas Motor Speedway. With air temperatures at 95 degrees, the on track temps are well over 100 degrees.

After winning on the road course last week at Mid-Ohio, AJ Allmendinger sits on the pole and will bring the field to green with Justin Haley alongside as the drivers begin the second half of the regular season.

NASCAR has called for a competition caution on lap 20.

Ryan Vargas will have to start the race from the back of the field after the crew made some unapproved adjustments to the car.

Winningest driver in the Xfinity Series, Cup Series driver Kyle Busch is getting a little time in on the track before the All Star race on Sunday as he runs the race in one of his five allowed starts.

Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski return to join Adam Alexander in the FOX broadcast booth for the race.

Jordan Anderson has an issue with his clutch and has taken the car to the garage even before the dropping of the green flag.

Lap two, Kyle Busch has already moved up to ninth place after a 14th place start.

Lap four, AJ Allmendinger holds on to the lead with Kyle Busch in eighth place.

Lap six, AJ Allmendinger leads the race with Brandon Jones in second; Daniel Hemric, Justin Haley, and Austin Cindric round out the top five with Kyle Busch in seventh.

Lap eight, AJ Allmendinger has just a tenth of a second lead on Brandon Jones; Kyle Busch has moved up to sixth.

Lap nine, Brandon Jones passes AJ Allmendinger for the lead; Kyle Busch enters the top five.

Lap 15, Brandon Jones has a half second lead on Justin Haley; Kyle Busch is in third one second back with AJ Allmendinger and Austin Cindric rounding out the top five.

After starting in 18th, Harrison Burton has entered the top 10.

Lap 17, Brandon Jones has increased his lead on Justin Haley to half a second, but Kyle Busch challenges Haley for second.

Lap 18, Kyle Busch is now in second place just over a half second behind leader Brandon Jones.

Lap 21, there are 35 cars on the lead lap.

Lap 22, NASCAR displays the yellow flag for the competition caution with Brandon Jones in the lead and Kyle Busch in second.

Brandon Gdovic is the “lucky dog”. A thermometer inside Gdovic’s car reads 147 degrees.

No teams take advantage of the competition caution and come down pit road.

Lap 32, Austin Cindric has a half second lead on Daniel Hemric; Kyle Busch, Brandon Jones, and Justin Haley round out the top five.

Kyle Busch is reporting a tight condition in his car.

The Burton cousins – Harrison and Jeb – battle it out for ninth and tenth.

Lap 50, Kyle Busch has a lead of half a second on Daniel Hemric, AJ Allmendinger, Austin Cindric, and Justin Haley round out the top five. Noah Gragson is on the move and has sixth place.

Lap 52, Kyle Busch has pulled out to a lead of over a second on Daniel Hemric.

Lap 61, Kyle Busch has increeased his lead to over two and a half seconds on Daniel Hemric.

The caution flag comes out on lap 62 when Jeb Burton gets loose and hits the wall hard after some slight contact from Josh Berry.

Making it a three wide battle on lap 89, Harrison Burton comes up between Kyle Busch and Daniel Hemric. Kyle Busch takes the lead from the outside lane.

The caution flag come out on lap 90 when Gray Gaulding gets into the wall and Tanner Berryhill makes a run through the grass. Matt Mills was also involved. Berryhill takes his car to the garage. Matt Mills was slow to get out of his car but is out and walked to the ambulance.

After being listed as the leader when the caution flag came out, Daniel Hemric brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 97 and jumps out in the lead from the inside lane. Kyle Busch comes from the outside to pass Hemric for the lead.

The top five are Kyle Busch, Justin Allgaier, Austin Cindric, Noah Gragson, and Brandon Brown.

Drivers are getting three wide across the track in a battle for position.

The caution flag comes out on lap 108 when Jeffrey Earnhardt and Stefan Parson wreck sending Earnhardt into the wall.

Brandon Jones is off the pace after getting loose on the track and brings out the caution flag on lap 134.

Some of the drivers come down pit road for fresh tires but the leaders stay out.

There has been a different winner in each of the past seven races and seven of the top 10 drivers have not won a race this season.

With 25 laps to go, Kyle Busch has a lead of over half a second on Justin Allgaier with 28 cars on the lead lap.

Twenty to go, Kyle Busch holds on to his lead of just over half a second on Justin Allgaier; Austin Cindric is in third over two seconds back with Noah Gragson and Daniel Hemric rounding out the top five.

Fifteen to go, Kyle Busch has increased his lead slightly to three quarters of a second on Justin Allgaier; Austin Cindric, Noah Gragson, and Daniel Hemric round out the top five over three seconds back.

AJ Allmendinger is reporting a possible tire issue; saying that he isn’t sure they will make it to the end of the race.

The caution flag comes out with just 10 laps remaining in the race when Myatt Snider gets into the wall…several times…after some contact with Josh Berry. The rear tires come off the ground and the car comes to rest with the drivers side against the wall. Snider fires the car and drives away a bit before getting out of the car and walking to the ambulance for the ride to the infield care center.

Kyle Busch brings the field down for the green flag restart from the inside lane with just five laps remaining in the race. Getting a push form Austin Cindric, Kyle Busch takes the lead.

The top five are Kyle Busch, Justin Allgaier, Austin Cindric, Brandon Jones, and Daniel Hemric.

Harrison Burton spins out and hits the wall bringing out the caution flag for the tenth time with just four laps remaining in the race. Burton reported that he was very loose before hitting the wall.

The race will now go into overtime.

Kyle Busch takes the white flag…just a mile and a half to go!

Kyle Busch wins at Texas Motor Speedway for his 10th win at the track and career Xfinity win number 99. With the win, Joe Gibbs Racing has 15 wins at Texas. The win ties JGR with Roush Racing for the most wins by a team at a single track.
