The Camping World Truck Series kicks off a doubleheader Saturday with the SpeedyCash.com 220 from Texas Motor Speedway on a hot June afternoon.

Only five more races remain in the Camping World Truck Series regular season.

Points leader John Hunter Nemechek sits on the pole and will bring the field down for the green flag with Ben Rhodes starting alongside on the front row.

Cup Series champion Chase Elliott makes his debut in the truck series this season in the number 24 truck.

Stages one and two are 35 laps each with stage three lasting 77 laps for a total of 147 laps around the mile and a half track.

The teams each have a total of four sets of tires for the race.

John Hunter Nemechek brings the field down for the green flag start of the race with Nemechek and Rhodes going side by side as drivers get three wide across the track. Ben Rhosed leads lap one.

Lap two, the top five are Ben Rhodes, John Hunter Nemechek, Todd Gilliland, Austin Hill, and Stewart Friesen.

Lap three John Hunter Nemechek takes the lead.

Lap four, Chase Elliott has entered the top 20 in 19th place.

Lap five, John Hunter Nemechek has pulled out to a lead of over half a second on Ben Rhodes, Austin Hill, Stewart Friesen, and Todd Gilliland round out the top five.

Lap seven, Sheldon Creed brings out the first caution flag of the race when he gets loose after getting into the traction compound and backs into the wall; causing significant damage to the rear of his truck. The defending series champion has a win at Darlington and has secured a spot in the playoffs.

Matt Crafton reports a power issue, but syays things are fine after a trip down pit road.

Ben Rhodes brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 13 from the outside lane and holds on to the lead.

Lap 14, John Hunter Nemechek takes the lead; Ben Rhodes, Austin Hill, Stewart Friesen, and Zane Smith round out the top five. Chase Elliott is just outside the top 10 in 12th place.

Lap 20, John Hunter Nemechek has a half second lead on Ben Rhodes.

The caution flag comes out again on lap 21 after Sheldon Creed spins out for a second time and causing more damage to his truck. Sheldon Creed becomes the first driver out of the race.

After getting a lap down due to a power issue, Matt Crafton is the “lucky dog” and is back on the lead lap.

The remaining 35 trucks in the race are on the lead lap.

Several drivers bring their trucks down pit road for service.

John Hunter Nemechek brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 30 from the inside lane and jumps out in front for the lead with a little help from Austin Hill.

The drivers who did not pit during the last caution make their way down pit road for service. John Hunter Nemechek wins the race off of pit road but does not retake the lead after some drivers stayed out on the track.

Todd Gilliland brings the field down for the green flag start of stage two with Chase Elliott alongside on the from row on lap 41. Todd Gilliland jumps out in front for the lead.

Lap 41, the top five are Todd Gilliland, Chase Elliott, Tanner Gray, Zane Smith, and Grant Enfinger.

Lap 44, Todd Gilliland has a tenth of a second lead on Chase Elliott, Zane Smith, Tanner Gray, and Tyler Ankrum round out the top five.

Lap 45, Chase Elliott passes Todd Gilliland for the lead.

Lap 47, Chase Elliott has pulled out to a lead of over a second and a half on Tanner Gray; Zane Smith, Todd Gilliland, and Grant Enfinger round out the top five.

Lap 50, Chase Elliott has a lead of nearly two seconds on Tanner Gray.

Lap 52, the caution flag comes out when Stewart Friesen spins out after some contact from Carson Hocevar. Stewart Friesen is out of the race.

Some of the drivers come down pit road for service including Johnny Sauter whose crew lifts the hood for some adjustments. Sauter reports a very loose condition.

Chase Elliott brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 59 with Tanner Gray alongside. Tanner Gray gets out in front for the lead.

The top five are Tanner Gray, Chase Elliott, Zane Smith, John Hunter nemechek, and Todd Gilliland.

Matt Crafton is slowed on the track after more power issues. The truck gets moving again and Crafton begins working his way through the field.

Jennifer Jo Cobb brings out the caution flag when she gets stopped on the track near pit road.

With eight laps remaining in stage two, much of the field comes down pit road for service.

After staying out on the track, Tanner Gray brings the field down for the green flag restart with Zane Smith alongside with just five laps remaining in stage two. After going side by side, Zane Smith takes the lead as the drivers get three and four wide across the track.

Lap 66, Zane Smith leads the race with Tanner Gray in second; Derek Kraus, Brennan Poole, and Josh Berry round out the top five.

Drew Dollar brings out the caution flag with just two laps remaining in stage two after he gets loose and hits the wall.

Stage two ends under caution with Zane Smith getting the win. Dollar is out of the truck and walks to the ambulance unaided.

Lap 98, there are 26 trucks on the lead lap with three drivers out of the race.

Lap 100, Chase Elliott has a lead of nearly a second on Ross Chastain.

Lap 105, Chase Elliott has a third of a second lead on Joohn Hunter Nemechek; Ross Chastain, Grant Enfinger, ad Austin Hill round out the top five.

Crews are begin to make their green flag pit stops on lap 107.
