At the end of the race at Dover International Speedway on May 16, NASCAR fans saw an event that has happened on three times in the history of the sport – a one, two, three, four finish by the same car owner when Alex Bowman won his second race of the season; followed by team mates Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, and William Byron.

With Chevrolet taking the first four spots, the bow ties take the lead in the manufacturers race with 467 points. Ford follows with 460 points and Toyota in third with 452 points.

Even after his seventh place finish, Denny Hamlin not only holds on to the points lead but has increased it and now has a lead of 101 points ahead of William Byron with 574 points.

Daytona 500 winner Michael McDowell holds down the 16th position with 290 points, eight in front of Matt DiBenedetto.

The NASCAR Cup Series has reached the halfway point of the regular season and has only two multi race winners in Alex Bowman and Martin Truex Jr.
