After a wild ride in Talladega last week, Miles the Monster comes to iRacing and the Pro Invitational Series for 150 laps around the concrete mile.

In race analyst Clint Bowyer is taking the weekend off so Regan Smith is jumping into the simulator for the race at Dover.

After his wild ride and a wreck that put him in the catch fence at virtual Talladega, Hall of Fame driver Jeff Gordon returns to the studio to join Mike Joy for the race.

Jason Romano gets the pre-race festivities started with the traditional prayer from his Connecticut home.

The drivers will get one reset for crash repairs.

Denny Hamlin made the fastest lap to win the pole position, but the first ten drivers in the field have been inverted putting Ross Chastain on the pole.

Last week’s top three drivers – race winner Alex Bowman, Corey LaJoie, and Ryan Preece have been put at the back of the field.

Ross Chastain brings the field down for the green flag start of the race with “watermelon man” Ross Chastain getting out in front for the lead.  The drivers quickly get single file.

Lap four, Parker Kligerman gets around Ross Chastain for the lead.

Lap five, the top five drivers are Parker Kligerman, Timmy Hill, Ross Chastain, Garrett Smithley, and Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Lap 10, Parker Kilgerman continues to lead the race.

After falling back in the field, in-race reporter Regan Smith is asking for a hot dog break.

The caution flag comes out on lap 13 for a wreck, Corey LaJoie, Daniel Suarez, Chad Finchum, Brennan Poole, and Kevin Harvick were among those involved.

The drivers come down pit road for fresh tires.  Dover is a concrete track that is very abrasive on tires and the drivers will come and get fresh tires as often as possible.

After taking only two tires, Denny Hamlin is in the lead.

Timmy Hill and Parker Kligerman make contact and brings out the caution flag on lap 23.

After only four green flag laps, some of the drivers come down pit road for fresh tires.

William Byron brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 28 with Landon Cassill alongside on the front row.

Lap 30, the top five are William Byron, Landon Cassill, Kurt Busch, Joey Logano, and Alex Bowman.

Matt DiBenedetto and Ross Chastain mix it up a bit but the track stays green.

Lap 40, William Byron continues to lead the race with Timmy Hill in second.  Also a race winner, Alex Bowman is in third place.  William Byron is the only driver to win more than one race with two wins.

The caution flag comes out on lap 41 after Erik Jones and Kyle Busch crash.

Leader Garrett Smithley took only two tires while the remainder of the field took four.

Garrett Smithley brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 45 but William Byron gets out in front quickly to retake the lead.

Lap 50, the top five are William Byron, Timmy Hill, Garrett Smithley, Denny Hamlin, and Alex Bowman.

The caution flag comes out on lap 53 after Kurt Busch, Joey Logano, Regan Smith, Parker Kilgerman, and Matt DiBenedetto were amont those to get into a crash.  Busch and Logano make contact with the rest getting caught up in the melee.

Garrett Smithley brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 58 and gets out in front for the lead with Alex Bowman in second; Jimmie Johnson, William Byron, and Timmy Hill round out the top five.

There are 30 cars on the lead lap.

Joey Logano gets loose and taps the wall but saves the car and the track stays green.

Lap 63, Alex Bowman takes the lead with William Byron in second place.

Lap 67, William Byron passes team mate Alex Bowman to retake the lead of the race.

The caution flag comes out on lap 73 after JJ Yeley gets into a crash that results in damage to the front and back of his car.

Most of the drivers come down pit road for service.

Halfway through the race, all of the drivers come down pit road for four fresh tires.

Timmy Hill brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 76 and holds on to the lead as the drivers get spread out across the track battling for position.

The sixth caution flag of the race comes out on lap 77 after Jimmie Johnson get hit from behind and gets into the wall.  Parker Kligerman and Chris Buescher were also involved.

Timmy Hill brings the field down for the green flag restart with 68 laps remaining in the race.  Timmy Hill gets out in front of William Byron for the lead.  Alex Bowman gets into the wall but the track stays green.

With 66 laps remaining in the race, the top five are Timmy Hill, William Byron, John Hunter Nemechek, Alex Bowman, and Ross Chastain.

Sixty to go, Timmy Hill has a narrow lead on William Byron; John Hunter Nemechek, Alex Bowman and Denny Hamlin round out the top five.

Lap 100, 50 to go, William Byron takes the lead from Timmy Hill; John Hunter Nemechek, Denny Hamlin, and Alex Bowman round out the top five.  There are 28 cars on the lead lap.

The caution flag comes out on lap 106 when Daniel Suarez and Alex Bowman make contact.

William Byron brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 113 and jumps out infront of Timmy Hill for the lead; John Hunter Nemechek Denny Hamlin, and Garrett Smithley round out the top five.

The caution flag comes out on lap 114 after a wreck involving Regan Smith and Kyle Busch.

With eight caution flags, Miles the Monster has been very hungry and has been eating up the cars.

William Byron brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 119 with William Byron out in front with Timmy Hill in second.

Twenty five to go, William Byron is in the lead with 22 cars on the lead lap.

Twenty to go, William Byron leads the race, Timmy Hill, Denny Hamlin, Christopher Bell, and Garrett Smithley round out the top five.  The top three drivers have won four of the five Pro Invitational Series races with William Byron winning two of them.

Fifteen to go, William Byron leads the race.

The caution flag comes out with 15 laps remaining in the race after Denny Hamlin and John Hunter Nemechek get into a wreck;  Dale Earnhardt is also involved in the crash.

Drivers come down pit road for fresh tires.

Timmy Hill is listed as the race leader.

The top four drivers took only two tires.

Timmy Hill brings the field down for the green flag restart with only 10 laps remaining in the race.  Timmy Hill takes the lead with William Byron, Christopher Bell, Erik Jones, and Michael McDowell rounding out the top five.

Eight laps remain in the race, William Byron is on leader Timmy Hill’s buper and challenging for the lead.

William Byron gets around Timmy Hill to take the lead with seven laps to go.

With five laps to go Christopher Bell gets around Timmy Hill to take second place and sets his sights on leader William Byron.

With 17 cars on the lead lap, William Byron takes the white flag.

William Byron takes the threepete as he wins his third race of the series with Hendrick Motorsports drivers winning the past four races.
