Music fans got a double dose of rock music at the Hard Rock Café in Niagara Falls on October 12 when the Cleveland band Critic City and western New York’s own Do Driver took the stage for a night of screaming guitars, raging vocals, and heavy beats.
Critic City opened up the show featuring mostly original songs with a few cover tunes thrown in.
The five piece band got the crowd going with performances of “Heart Roulette”, “Arson of a bitch”, “Received”, “Shoulders”, “Into You”, “Honor Against Thieves”, “Quid Pro Quo”, “Livin’ on the Edge”, “Bad Guy”, “Hostage”, “War Dodger”, and “cliff Dives”.
After a stage reset, Do Driver took the stage and really got the crowd going with fan favourites and some tunes pulled from the Do Driver vault; plus a few cover tunes thrown in for good measure.
After opening with “It Feels Good to Be Home”; Jody, Mike, Chris, and Mark performed “White Flag”, “Everafter”, “We Can Work it Out”, “Alright Tonight”, “Foul and Frothy”, “Pray”, “Always Something There to Remind Me”, “Your Favorite Song”, “Curve of the Earth”, “Diablolust”, “Beer”, “Another Day”, and ended the night with “Life Changes Everything”.
It was a night for old friends to gather, for new friends to meet, and long time fans to rock the night away with a night of hard driving rock and roll.
Saturday night might be all right for fighting, but it was made for rock and roll.
