Appreciation days always mean something a little special. The year The Strong Museum in Rochester, New York is celebrating Fan Appreciation Day on August 29.
The Thursday before Labor Day weekend, the event marks The Strong reaching 100,000 fans on Facebook.
Special activities run from 11am to 2pm and feature both indoor and outdoor – weather permitting – activities including snow cones, sidewalk art creations, a bubble machine, a performance by the Happy Pirates, and free rides on the Elaine Wilson Carousel and the Strong Express Train.
Visitors on Fan Appreciation Day are also invited to join in for a group photo marking the special day.
The Strong is the home of the National Toy Hall of Fame where bubbles found a home as a part of the 2014 class of inductees.
Located at One Manhattan Square in Rochester, New York; The Strong is open seven days a week – from 10am to 5pm Monday thru Thursday, 10 am to 8pm Friday and Saturday, and from 1pm to 5pm on Sunday.
Tickets are &16 for everyone over the age of two and free to members and children under the age of two.
