On March 17 The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences – L’académie canadienne des arts et des sciences de l’enregistrement – (CARAS) presented the annual Juno Awards honouring the best in Canadian music and musicians. The Juno Awards is the culmination of week long musical events.
Award winning musician and Hall of Famer Sarah McLachlan hosted the gala event held in London, Ontario this year.
The Arkells, Bahamas, NAV, Whitehorse, bülow, Cœur de Pirate and Loud, Corey Hart, Jeremy Dutcher with Blake Pouliot, Loud Luxury, The Reklaws, and McLachlan herself all performed during the ceremonies.
A busy lady, McLachlan also inducted singer-songwriter Corey Hart into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
