This week the 13 finalists perform for fan votes on “The Voice”.
This year is the first time that one of the finalists came to the show via the Comeback Stage with Kelsea Ballerini and gave an extra team member to coach Kelly Clarkson.
On the Tuesday results night, two artists will be sent home.
This week the artists will be dedicating their songs.
Team Blake and Chris Kroeze gets the nigh started off with a performance of “Let it Be” that he dedicated to his hoe town in Wisconsin. Adam loved the version of the song; adding that Chris did his own thing. Adam said that he was jealous of Chris’ voice. Coach lake said that the performance was a testament to Chris’ work ethic; adding that Chris made the song his own.
Team Adam’s Tyke James dedicated his performance of the Bryan Adams hit “Everything I Do” to his mom. Calling the performance so great, Kelly said that Tyke stands apart from everyone else. Kelly said that it was her favourite performance from Tyke. A proud coach, Adam said that Tyke made the song his own with a never before attempted stripped down simplified version of the song. Adam said that he wanted the song and was going to download it from iTunes.
Tea Adam’s DeAndre Nico dedicated his performance of the MercyMe song “I Can Only Imagine” to his girlfriend Crystal. Jennifer said that he must have a mighty girlfriend to take a spiritual song and dedicate it to her. Jennifer noted that DeAndre made the song his own. Saying that he could go on and on about DeAndre, Adam said that DeAndre has a unique identifable voice; adding that he is an amazing singer with a unique gift.
Team Kelly’s Kymberli Joye dedicated her performance of “Diamonds” to her younger sister. Kelly called Kymberli the best kind of vocalist because she sings it differently every time; adding that she is beautiful to watch.
Tea Jennifer’s Kennedy Holmes sang “Wind Beneath My Wings” and dedicated it to her parents. In the video package, Jennifer noted that she sang the very same song during eighth grade graduation. Kennedy’s performance brought the coaches to their feet. The youngest singer in the competition, Jennifer noted that she couldn’t imagine what her parents think; adding that Kennedy was born to be a star.
Team Jennifer’s Sandyred sang the Boyz II Men hit “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday” and dedicated it to her mother who died of cancer. Blake said that he loved seeing the emotional side of Sandyred; adding that she is an incredible singer with an amazing lower register. Calling her lower register a powerful thing, Jennifer said that the lower register brought them in.
Team Kelly’s Chavel Shepherd sang the Little Big Town song “Little White Church” and dedicated it to her dad. A standing coach Kelly called Chavel magnificent. Calling Chavel awesome, Adam said that he is obsessed with her.
Makenzie Thomas chose to sing a song by her own coach Jennifer Hudson with “I Am Changing” and dedicated to her coach because Jennifer is the only coach that turned her chair for Makenzie. After thanking Makenzie for that beautiful dedication, Jennifer said that Makenzie’s skill is bananas.
Team Kelly’s Sarah Grace sang the Sir Elton song “Goodbye to Yellow Brick Road” while she played the piano. Kelly noted that the world doesn’t know how talented Sarah Grace is.
Team Blake’s Dave Fenley sang “Hard to Love” for his wife and brought Blake to his feet. Saying that he is a huge fan, Adam noted that he was mad when Dave didn’t get voted through. Blake called it a very important performance to show off Dave’s vocal ability.
Team Kelly’s Comback Stage singer Lynnea Moorer chose the song “Moves” and dedicated it to her mom who is in prison. Jennifer said that she is blown away by Lynnea; adding that she has such great star quality. Calling Lynnea such a star, Kelly said that the comeback kid was killing everybody tonight.
Team Blake’s Kirk Jay chose the Lonestar hit “I’m Already There” and dedicated it to his mom who has never seen him perform before. She was in the audience for the performance that brought the judges to their feet. Jennifer said that she almost threw her notebook at Kirk but needed it for her notes. Saying that she didn’t understand what Kirk just did, Jennifer called him bad bad bad. Blake said that Kirk knocked the song out of the park with an incredible performance.
Team Adam’s Reagan Strange closed out the night with her performance of Lauren Daigle’s “You Say” that she dedicated to her grandparents. Adam said that Reagan epitomizes everything the show is; adding that she is an amazing artist and filled the room with her voice.
Again this year, singers who have their songs in the top 10 of the iTunes charts will get their votes multiplied by five.
After the show aired in all American mainland time zones, six of the 13 artists had their songs in the top 10 on one of the iTunes genre charts. One artist ranked number two on a chart whose top 10 is dominated by Queen.
