The round of eight has been set in the Xfinity Series and a new round of races begins in Kansas with the Kansas Lottery 300. It’s the final round before the championship race in Miami where half of the playoffs drivers will be eliminated before that final race.

Christopher Bell and Justin Allgaier top the list of eight playoff drivers.

Forty-three teams brought cars to the track but there ae only 40 starting spots.

On a cool Saturday morning the Xfinity Series drivers take to the track to qualify for the race. After three rounds of qualifying, Daniel Hemric wins his fifth Xfinity Series pole and will bring the field down to the green flag.

Stages one and tow of the race are 45 laps each with stage three lasting 110 laps.

Daniel Hemric brings the field down for the green flag start of the race with Daniel Hemric jumping out in front as several cars crash behind him on turn two and brings out the caution flag on the first lap.

Justin Allgaier, Austin Cindric, Christopher Bell, Spencer Gallagher, Ryan Truex, Michael Annett, Ross Chastain, Chase Briscoe, and Cole Custer were all involved in the crash. Playoff drivers Justin Allgaier, Christopher

Bell, and Austin Cindric are out of the race. Michael Annett is also out of the race.

The top five are Daniel Hemric, Brandon Jones, Tyler Reddick, Ryan Preece, and Shane Lee.

Saying that he was the cause of the wreck, Justin Allgaier said that he got really loose in the corner.

Daniel Hemric brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap eleven and gets a challenge from Brandon Jones. Brandon Jones edges out Daniel Hemric and then hits the wall hard and brings out the second caution flag of the car. Jones is the fourth car out of the race as the teams have yet to complete a green flag lap.

Lap 12, Daniel Hemric is the leader of the race under yellow flag conditions

The top five are Daniel Hemric, Ryan Preece, Tyler Reddick, Shane Lee, and Matt Tifft.

Daniel Hemric again brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 16 with Daniel Hemric getting out in front thanks to a push from Ryan Preece.

Daniel Hemric is the leader with Tyler Reddick in second, Ryan Preece, Matt Tifft, and Shane Lee round out the top five.

Lap 20, Daniel Hemric has a lead of over a second and a half over Ryan Preece with Tyler Reddick over two seconds behind.

Lap 24, Daniel Hemric has increased his lead to nearly two seconds on Ryan Preece with Shane Lee in third over three seconds behind; John Hunter Nemechek and Matt Tifft round out the top five.

The caution flag comes out on lap 24 when Spencer Gallagher blows a tire and hits the wall.

Cole Custer’s team continues to work on repairs to his car. Custer has no power steering.

NBC Sports reports announce that the wind is very gusty and causing some issues for the drivers.

Lap 30, still under caution, Daniel Hemric has led every lap so far in this caution filled race.

Daniel Hemric brings the field down or the green flag restart on lap 33 from the inside lane and goes side by side with Ryan Preece before edging out in front for the lead.

The top five are Daniel Hemric, John Hunter Nemechek, Ryan Preece, Shane Lee, and Elliott Sadler.

Ryan Preece and John Hunter Nemechek battle for second while Daniel Hemric pulls away from the field nearly a second ahead.

After restarting back in 26th place, Tyler Reddick has moved into the top 10 on lap 37.

Lap 39, Daniel Hemric has a quarter second lead on John Hunter Nemechek with Ryan Preece nearly two seconds behind.

Lap 40, John Hunter Nemechek is challenging leader Daniel Hemric for the top spot.

Lap 42, Daniel Hemric holds on to the lead with John Hunter Nemechek only a quarter of a second behind; Ryan Preece, Shane Lee, and Elliott Sadler round out the top five.

John Hunter Nemechek brings the field down for the green flag start of stage two on lap 53 but gets edged out by Daniel Hemric for the lead.

Six laps down, Cole Custer returns to the track with a new power steering pump.

Lap 54, the top five are Daniel Hemric, John Hunter Nemechek, Tyler Reddick, Ryan Preece, and Shane Lee.

Lap 56, Junior Avila brings out the caution flag when he spins out after getting loose in a three wide run.

Cole Custer is on pit road, out of power steering again.

Daniel Hemric brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 61 and goes side by side with John Hunter Nemechek. Nemechek gets past Hemric for the lead of the race.

Lap 63, the top five are John Hunter Nemechek, Daniel Hemric, Ryan Preece, Tyler Reddick, and Elliott Sadler.

Lap 64, Daniel Hemric challenges John Hunter Nemechek for the lead but Nemechek holds on to the top spot.

Lap 67, John Hunter Nemechek has a third of a second lead on Daniel Hemric.

Lap 69, there are only 29 cars on the track with 25 cars on the lead lap.

Lap 70, John Hunter Nemechek holds on to his narrow lead over Daniel Hemric with Ryan Preece, Tyler Reddick, and Elliott Sadler rounding out the top five.

Lap 77, John Hunter Nemechek continues to lead the race with Daniel Hemric only a third of a second behind; in third place Ryan Preece is over three seconds behind.

Lap 80, John Hunter Nemechek is out in front with Daniel Hemric in second; Ryan Preece, Tyler Reddick, and Elliott Sadler.

NBC Sports broadcasters report that Tyler Reddick has no tachometer in his car and cannot judge his speeds.

Lap 82, third place driver Ryan Preece is over four seconds behind leader John Hunter Nemechek.

The hood on Ross Chastain’s car flew off during the race and was destroyed when another driver ran over it.

Lap 86, John Hunter Nemechek has a lead of over a second on Daniel Hemric with Ryan Preece four and a half seconds behind.

Tyler Reddick got loose on the track but he held onto the car.

Ryan Preece gets loose and hits the wall bringing out the caution flag just before the end of stage two.

Lap 121, Daniel Hemric continues to lead the race with John Hemric in second and Tyler Riddick in third; Elliott Sadler and Matt Tifft round out the top five.

Lap 125, John Hunter Nemechek has pulled to within half a second of leader Daniel Hemric with Tyler Reddick three seconds back.

Lap 128, Ryan Preece brings his car down pit road with a possible tire issue.

There are only eleven cars on the lead lap.

Lap 134, Daniel Hemric dominates the race but John Hunter Nemechek is on his bumper and challenging for the lead with less than 10 cars on the lead lap.

With stage three lasting 110 laps, the drivers cannot complete the stage without making pit stop.

At 39 laps so far on lap 137, the cars have run the longest green flag laps of the day.

Lap 140, leader Daniel Hemric is reporting that his brand new car is too free.

Lap 141, the top five are Daniel Hemric, John Hunter Nemechek, Tyler Reddick, Elliott Sadler, and Matt Tifft.

Lap 147, there are only five cars on the lead lap.

Lap 149, drivers are beginning to make green flag pit stops.

Lap 150, the leaders come down pit road. Tyler Reddick takes over the lead of the race.

John Hunter Nemechek overshoots his pit stall and has to back up to avoid a penalty.
