There is an old joke that you know you are old when you mention the name of Paul McCartney and someone says, wasn’t he in a band before Wings.

It has been nearly 50 years since The Beatles split up and went their separate ways, but on November 9 the band will release a 50th anniversary edition of their “White” album that will include lots of extras.

Mixed by Sir Giles Martin and Sam Okell, the release follows anniversary edition of “Sgt Peppers Lonely Heart’s Club Band”.

The original album was a double length two vinyl disc release with the Super Deluxe anniversary edition is a massive seven disc of the re-mixed original album, demos, session outtakes, jams, previously unreleased songs, and alternative versions of some songs.

The “White” album includes the songs”Blackbird”, “While y Guitar Gently Weeps”, and Helter Skelter”.

The Super Deluxe edition will also include a 164 page hard bound book featuring photos, handwritten lyrics, and album info.

The anniversary release will be available in a variety of formats – a two vinyl release with the updated stereo mix, three CD’s, four vinyl albums, a digital audio edition, and the seven disc super deluxe edition.
