“American Idol” is on the move!

The singing talent competition ended its run on FOX in 2016 after 15 seasons.  After a two year hiatus, it launched a new version of the show on ABC with season 16 in 2018.

Beginning next year, “American Idol” will open season 25 on the eastern side of the United States in Atlanta, Georgia.  Host Ryan Seacrest is heading home!

The latest unscripted reality series to make an exodus from Hollywood, Freemantle and 19 Entertainment are setting up a new stage in the Atlanta area in order to take advantage of the 30% tax incentives offered in Georgia.

Recent numbers say that Los Angeles has seen a significant loss after unscripted reality shows are moving out of California to take advantage of tax incentives.

California recently expanded its tax incentive program to allow unscripted reality programming but the shows must have a budget of at least $1 milllion.
